BTS’ Jungkook, BLACKPINK’ Lisa, TWICE, Stray Kids, and more K-pop artists submitted their music for 2025 Grammy Awards nominations
On November 8, the nominees for the 2025 Grammy Awards were revealed. Several K-pop and BTS followers expressed disappointment because there were no K-pop nominees for the forthcoming annual award event.
Considering that the Grammy Awards are regarded as one of the most prominent award ceremonies in the music industry, fans were outraged by the ceremony's failure to recognize the globally renowned and expanding K-pop sector.
Fans were also upset over the lack of nominations for BTS. The renowned K-pop boy group has been nominated for five Grammy Awards since 2020. Furthermore, they are the first and only K-pop group to be recognized as a Grammy nominee.
As a result, many ARMYs were dismayed that BTS members received no nominations for the upcoming Grammy Awards. Due to their military enlistment, the seven-member group did not release a group album; however, each member released a solo album.
Their solo albums of the boy band’s members, including BTS' Jungkook’s GOLDEN, Taehyung’s FRI(END)S, j-hope’s HOPE ON THE STREET VOL 1, Namjoon’s Right Place, Wrong Person, and Jimin’s MUSE, were submitted in different categories of Grammy nominations. But none of them made their way into the final list.
Besides BTS, several K-pop artists and groups, BLACKPINK's Lisa for Rockstar and New Woman, Stray Kids' ATE, and TWICE for With YOU-th, reportedly submitted their music for 2025 Grammy Award nominations. Unfortunately, none of them made their entry into the 2025 Grammy Award-nominated categories.
