The ranking was based on artist mentions and shares across all social networking platforms combined.
V secured the 6th position on the overall list of the “10 Most Shared Artists on SNS,” making him the highest-ranking K-pop solo artist in 2024. The only other K-pop act on the list was ZEROBASEONE, which ranked 5th. This achievement highlights V's popularity and influence, particularly in Japan, despite his ongoing military service.

Despite being on military duty and having no active promotions, V stood out as the only K-pop solo artist to make it into the top 10, demonstrating the fan engagement he has brought to the table.
Spotify Japan also revealed other highlights of 2024’s music trends, including the "Top 10 Most Streamed Songs in Japan" and the "Top 10 Japanese Artists Streamed Overseas." These rankings underline V’s appeal and his ability to dominate not just streaming platforms but also social media interactions.
Taehyung's success in Japan extends beyond music sharing. He continues to top various polls and rankings, such as the NEHAN "K-pop Male Idol Ranking," where he has held the #1 spot for 193 consecutive weeks. Similarly, on BIHAN, a site focusing on Korean drama and actor rankings, Taehyung has remained the most popular male actor across all age categories for 42 consecutive weeks and has dominated the 20s male actor category for 189 weeks.
In K-Culture platforms like K-board and KPOP JUICE, he consistently ranks first, with record-breaking votes such as 5.32 million across various periods.
Furthermore, within 2.5 days after the release of his song Winter Ahead with Park Hyo-shin, the song entered not one but two Japanese Billboard charts. It debuted at #4 on the Billboard Japan Top Download Songs chart and #10 on the Hot Shot Songs Chart.
