The Cinderella at 2AM premiered episode 1 and episode 2 on August 24 and August 25, respectively, at 9:00 PM KST. The new rom-com drama airs on the COUPANG PLAY network and Viki app. Cinderella at 2AM features Shin Hyun-been and Moon Sang-min in the lead roles besides other supporting cast. Ha Yun Seo (played by Shin Hyun-been) has demonstrated diligent efforts throughout her entire life. She not only single-handedly raised her younger brother, but has also achieved the position of a marketing manager at a credit card firm. Her life undergoes an important shift when she uncovers the fact that her boyfriend, Seo Ju Won (played by Moon Sang-min), is the inheritor of the family that owns her credit card company.

Cinderella at 2AM Episode 1: Yun-seo break up with Ju-won
The first episode of Cinderella at 2AM starts on an unusual note, where the female protagonist Ha Yun-seo is seen having a meal with the mother of the male protagonist Seo Ju-won. Seo Ju-won is the youngest son of AL Group.
Ha Yun-seo is invited by his mother, who offers her money to break up with her son, as they’re already in a happy relationship. To her offer, Yun-seo agrees and takes money from Ju-won’s mother. She tells her she needs two months to slowly push Ju-won away from her. She writes her bank details on a piece of paper and gives it to Ju-won’s mother.
While speaking to his mother, Yun-seo remembers many lovely moments with Ju-won. When his mother asks her if she ever really loved her son, she replies she liked him very much. But she agrees to leave him because of their differences. Yun-seo leaves.
She goes to her friend’s restaurant and informs her about breaking up with Ju-won, and also him being the son of her chairperson. She also says that she learned about Ju-won being a rich heir only a month ago. As shown in her flashbacks, she met him as a junior employee. They fell in love. It looks like she takes that money for her brother’s tuition. As Ju-won’s mother said, she is going to send Ju-won abroad after Yun-seo breaks up with him.
Following this, Yun-seo behaves strangely with Ju-won and tries to ignore him in the office. Yun-seo is doing everything on purpose, as she wants Ju-won to get tired of her and leave her.
After having her meal with Ju-won, Yun-seo comes to her friend’s restaurant, where she gets drunk and sends a drunk text to her office group chat. In her text, she tries to break up with Ju-won, but it is an incomplete message.
Meanwhile, Seo Si-won, Ju-won elder brother, is seen having a meal with her mother. She tells him about her deal with Yun-seo. This shocks him, as she is about to break his brother’s heart.
The next morning, Yun-seo wakes up and realizes that she sent a message to her office group. While on her way to work, she notices that she also made a drunk call to Ju-won last night. But she couldn’t remember anything.
Later in the day, she finds a call recording of the previous night on her phone. Listening to it she finds that she already broke up with Ju-won last night.
She confronts Ju-won, and he tells her he knows about her meeting with his mother. In the flashback, Ju-won’s brother Si-won informed him about the deal. Then Yun-seon also asks if he knows about the money she has received from his mother in return for their breakup. She makes him realize the vast difference between their status.
Ju-won says he will try to convince his mother, but Yun-seo is adamant about the breakup. Yun-seo leaves.
Yun-seo returns to her normal routine, while Ju-won stops coming to the office. Yun-seo thinks that Ju-won went abroad, as his mother said.
After a few days, Ju-won returns to the office as the Director. He tells Yun-seo that he will try everything to win her back. He says that her deal with his mother is already over as she broke up with him. But now, they can again start dating. This is where episode 1 of Cinderella at 2 AM ends.
Cinderella at 2AM Episode 2: Ju-won tries to get Yun-seo back in his life
The second episode of Cinderella at 2AM begins with Ju-won and Yun-seo standing face to face. He tells her that he will cling to her from now on and chase after her.
He explains how he convinced his mother to not send him abroad. Yun-seo, on the other side, is still firm about their breakup.
Meanwhile, other team members of Yun-seo discuss how they did not know about the youngest son of the AL Group working in their team.
Ju-won, as director, starts with his efforts to win Yun-seo back. He takes his team out for dinners and lunches to spend more time with Yun-seo. One evening, he tells her she has to buy him meals 27 times more, as during their relationship he paid on more occasions than her.
In the next scene, Ju-won is seen talking to his brother Si-won, who tells him he never expected him to refuse to work abroad and say no to his mother.
When Ju-won is about to leave after their talk, Si-won stops him and offers to watch movies with him. But Si-won then remembers that Ju-won doesn't like movies, especially horror ones. But Ju-won surprises Si-won by telling him that Yun-seo has made him love movies, even scary ones.
Meanwhile, Yun-seo, after meeting her friend at her restaurant, is seen standing on the road. She sees a kid walking on the road, which reminds her of her horrible childhood. As shown in her flashback, she had wounds on her face and her father shouted at her to bring him more alcohol. She was then carrying alcohol for her father.
Coming back to the scene, these memories made her sick the next morning as she stayed out in cold weather for a long time. Yun-seo’s brother blames Ju-won for everything and it seems he doesn’t like him.
Yun-seo, who is sick, reaches the office. She encounters Si-won, who tells her about Ju-won’s changed attitude towards movies. He also tells her he likes opera more. This makes Yun-seo feel bad, as she wasn’t aware of it during her relationship. Si-won also adds that his brother is a strong-willed and stubborn man, and winning against him will be tough.
Seeing Yun-seo sick, Ju-won brings her food and medicine. While they’re leaving for home, she faints in the parking lot. Ju-won takes her to the hospital. Yun-seo awakens and tells him she will dine with him more than 27 times. According to her, if he puts a lot of effort into dating, they should also put a lot of effort into breaking up. Ju-won agrees and replies that he will show her how much he likes her and why she shall stay with him.
They eat together in different places. Meanwhile, Ju-won’s mother receives his pictures with Yun-seo, where both of them are eating happily together. Si-won tells his mother that Ju-won is trying hard to get Yun-seo back. The upset mother says she expects Yun-seo to fulfill her promise as per their deal.
Additionally, we glimpse Si-won's spouse, who is an influencer. Si-won got into wedlock with her through an arranged marriage.
In the following scene, Ju-won and Yun-seo go on another date. They both get drunk, and Ju-won asks her if she will break up with him, and she says no. She tells him that she still likes him a lot. The episode 2 of Cinderella at 2AM ends here.
