Connection starring Ji Sung, Jeon Mi-do, Kim Kyung-nam, Kwon Yul, and more aired episodes 7 and 8 on June 14 and 15 respectively on SBS. Connection follows the story of a highly respected detective Jang Jae-kyung (Ji Sung) and a journalist Oh Yoon-jin (Jeon Mi-do), who get entangled in a murder case surrounding the supply of drugs.
Jang Jae-kyung, the leader of the Narcotics Department of the Anhyeon Police Station, was once drugged forcefully by an unknown figure. Meanwhile, Oh Yoon-jin is a journalist whose priority is money as she wishes to live a financially stable life with her daughter. Notably, Jang Jae-kyung and Oh Yoon-jin attended the same high school.
According to the latest episodes of Connection, Jang Jae-kyung continued to search for the killer of the store owner near the construction site where Park Jun-seo (Yoon Na-moo) was found dead and found new clues. Meanwhile, Oh Yoon-jin (Jeon Mi-do) was kidnapped and threatened to stop working on the Park Bok-rye medical malpractice case by Oh Chi-yeon (Cha Yeop). However, she refused to do so despite being threatened.

Connection Ep 7-8 recap: Cha Yeop kidnaps Jeon Mi-do, discovers more information about the store owner's killer
In the recent episodes of Connection, Kim Chang-soo (Jeong Jae-Kwang), Jang Jae-kyung's junior in the Narcotics Department was revealed to be aware of his drug addiction. Kim Chang-soo interrogated CEO Yoon (Baek Ji-won) about Gong Jin-wook (Yoo Hee-je), the drug supplier.
As Kim Chang-soo left, it was unveiled that CEO Yoon and her team were behind Jang Jae-kyung’s addiction. CEO Yoon was ordered by the mysterious person named “Doctor”, who makes the drug.
In episode 7, Oh Yoon-jin visited Woonjong Medical Center and looked further into the medical malpractice case that led to the death of senior citizen Park Bok-rye. As the receptionist at the Medical Center told Oh Yoon-jin it was difficult to meet the director, she decided to wait for the director.
Oh Chi-yeon (Cha Yeop), another of her high schoolmates who is the secretary of Keumhyung Group's Vice President Won Jong-soo (Kim Kyung-nam), unexpectedly came to the center and kidnapped Oh Yoon-jin.
Oh Chi-yeon then took Oh Yoon-jin to his office and bribed her with money to stop looking further into this case. He also threatened her that he would reveal all the images of her receiving bribes from sources for her news stories. Oh Yoon-jin was flustered with his move and took the money.
However, she did not wish to give up on the case and returned the money the next day. Oh Yoon-jin told Oh Chi-yeon that he could share the photos with anyone he wanted to.
Furthermore, Jang Jae-kyung met Jung Sang-eui (Park Keun-rok) who also went to Jeogang High School. Jung Sang-eui worked at Keumhyung Pharmaceutical Company. Jang Jae-kyung revealed that Jung Sang-eui was present at the construction site when Park Jun-seo died.
Jung Sang-eui revealed that Park Tae-jin (Kwon Yul), Won Jong-soo, and Oh Chi-yeon were also present at the site. However, they left as soon as they found out Park Jun-seo had passed away. Jung Sang-eui gave a major hint that he saw Park Jun-seo wearing his shoes when his body was found by the four.
However, according to the police investigation Park Jun-seo committed suicide and his shoes were found on the floor he jumped from.
Jang Jae-kyung, Oh Yoon-jin, and Heo Joo-song (Jung Soon-won) again visited high school student Min Hyun-woo (Han Hyun-jun) who had a connection with Park Jun-seo. Min Hyun-woo finally revealed that Park Jun-seo had an emergency and ordered him to deliver the medicines to two different places. However, he mixed up the medicines and the mishap led to the death of Park Bok-rye.
Park Jun-seo asked Min Hyun-woo to deliver one box to Loraine Hotel and eight boxes to Woonjong Medical Center. While delivering, Min Hyun-woo’s bike slipped leading to a minor accident, where the boxes were swapped.
The box delivered at Loraine Hotel seemingly had drugs which was for Won Jong-soo, but it was sent to Woonjong Medical Center instead. The drugs were prescribed to Park Bok-rye which led to her sudden death.
It is known to the viewers that the store owner near the construction site was Jeong Yun-ho who went to Jeogang High School with Oh Yoon-jin and Jang Jae-kyung. According to Episode 8 of Connection, Jang Jae-kyung went to Pilwodong's cold storage where Park Jun-seo stored the medicine and drugs. There, Jang Jae-kyung saw a sky balloon ad which was visible through the alley Jeong Yun-ho escaped after killing the store owner.
Jang Jae-kyung ran to verify if it was the ad he saw and figured out how Jeong Yun-ho avoided CCTV and got away with the murder. After looking at the CCTV angles from the new area, Jang Jae-kyung discovered the nameplate of Jeong Yun-ho's private taxi. It is yet to be seen if Jang Jae-kyung figures out Jeong Yun-ho was the killer of the store owner.
