On June 19, 2024, the finale episode of Lee Min-Ki's Crash aired on ENA and Disney+. The narrative centers around the dedicated efforts of the Traffic Crime Investigation (TCI) team as they work to solve intricate criminal cases. Kwak Sun-young, Lee Min-ki, and Heo Sung-tae make up the lead cast. Choi Moon-hee and Lee Ho-chul are the supporting leads and members of the TCI unit.

Crash episode 12 sees So-hee (Kwak Sun-young) being congratulated by Tae-ju on her return to the TCI. She mentions that she can revisit past cases, alluding to Tae-ju's unlicensed taxi case. She promises him they will deal with him properly this time, even though he threatens her. Meanwhile, Yeon-ho (Lee Min-ki) visits Hyun-soo's resting site and sees Jung-sub, who advises Yeon-ho to go live.

In the end, So-hee and Yeon-ho (Lee Min-ki) head to the hospital to pick up her father. Yeon-ho is seen driving the car and finally overcoming his trauma of driving. Crash episode 12 ends with their narration on the value of life's journey and meeting new people, stressing the importance of safe driving.

Kwak Sun-young told Joynews24 that they hope the series gets renewed for a second season. However, there has been no confirmation from the production house.

"'Crash' is a drama that spreads good influences, with a lot of information about traffic crimes. I also learned a lot from this work. Not only me, but also my seniors are desperately hoping for season 2."

Crash episode 12 makes up for an intriguing episode finale with the second-highest rating in ENA history

Crash episode 12 sees TCI dissolved by deputy police commissioner Pyo Myung-hak (Heo Jung-do). TCI leader and captain Chae-man (Heo Seong-tae) and other TCI personnel—Yeon-ho, So-hee, Hyeon-gyeong, and Dong-hi—are sent to various units. Yeon-ho ends up on Hwapyeong Island, where he becomes embroiled in the case of a missing teenage girl.

He contacts his former TCI members and asks them to help him solve the case. Chae-man arrives at Hwapyeong Island and meets the rest of the TCI members. They find that the locals just sold off some property for the construction of resorts and cafés.

Meanwhile, Yeon-ho (Lee Min-ki) learned that Seunga was a bit of a loner and didn't have any friends after talking to one of her classmates. However, the classmate did witness her with a male before she vanished. They whittled down the list of cars, eliminating any visitors from outside the island and focusing on the locals.

They discovered a video showing a silver Stallone with a damaged bumper on the road to the edge of the cliff where Seunga's shoes were discovered. Crash episode 12 takes an intriguing turn as the TCI team decides to search for more CCTV cameras around the area to find more clues into Seunga's disappearance.

In Crash episode 12, the TCI team finally arrives at the mountainous area, which is owned by the Gi family and serves as a graveyard. Yeon-ho remembers that one of the owners of the silver car was a man named Gi Hyung-soo. However, he has an alibi, as he was in a sushi restaurant with a few locals at the time Seunga went missing.

Upon questioning individuals at the sashimi establishment, the TCI members verified Gi Hyung-soo's alibi. Furthermore, the village leader becomes enraged about the suspicion and labels Seunga's family as troublemakers since her father declined to contribute to the island's redevelopment.

Yeon-ho and So-hee go searching for the old car's remnants on Gi's mountain the next day and find Seunga's earbuds. Hyeon-Gyeong (Choi Moon-hee) calls to report that they've located a suspicious car. Dong-gi (Lee Ho-chul) tells the TCI team that the silver Stallone car belongs to Im Ji-sook, the head of the women's society.

Yeon-ho calls Im Ji-sook for interrogation and shows her the VINs of Hyung-soo's present car matching her car. Im Ji-sook claims innocence while Hyung-soo and another guy enter the room accompanied by the village leader. Hyung-soo claims to have exchanged the license plates of Im Ji-sook's car as a prank, and the other man confesses to having witnessed it.

TCI suspects everyone involved in Seunga's disappearance and believes that Hyung-soo, Im Ji-soo, and the village head are protecting one another. Yeon-ho chalks out a plan and announces in front of the island residents that they are getting close to discovering Seunga's body and that a technician will be arriving soon to track Seunga's whereabouts using her wireless earbuds.

Later, Yeon-ho and So-hee decide to stake out at the mountain graveyard and see the four individuals—Hyung-soo, Im Ji-sook, the village head, and the other man—arrive at the site. The four were joined by the local cop, Mr. Shin, and they decided to dig up the buried body since the TCI was close to apprehending them.

Meanwhile, Chae-man breaks into Hyung-soo's warehouse and discovers Seunga tied up, while the TCI squad arrests the rest at the mountain burial site. Seunga tells the TCI team about her friend, Armin, to whom she had given earbuds so he could listen to a song as they both were walking on the road on the fateful night. A car, driven by a drunk Mr. Shin, hits them, and Armin pushes Seunga to protect her.

Consequently, Armin gets hit by the car and dies on the spot, while Seunga faints. Hyung-soo and Im Ji-sook, the village head, were all present in the car along with Mr. Shin, and they decided to bury both Seunga and Armin to protect themselves.

In Crash episode 12, after Seunga reveals the story, Chae-man tells the TCI team how Mr. Shin, Hyung-soo, and Im Ji-sook, the village leader, were once destitute kids living on the island. They suffered mistreatment and banded together to commit crimes and bury bodies secretly. Later, when they got older, the four became the heads of Hwapyeong Island and continued with their covert crimes.

Crash episode 12 then showed the TCI members talking about resurrecting the TCI unit, but Chae-man announced that he had resigned from the police force. Meanwhile, the four others (Yeon-ho, So-hee, Hyeon-gyeong, and Dong-hi) receive promotions and awards for cracking the case of the missing girl.

The crew is reunited in the TCI office at the end of episode 12, but it is now supervised by the National Office of Investigation. Before Yeon-ho and So-hee leave for the hospital in the last scene of Crash, Yeon-ho calls his teammates about chasing a driver on the road and asks them to join.

Chae-man sighs and fondly remarks that nothing has changed as So-hee, Hyeon-gyeong, and Dong-hi rush to assist Yeon-ho.

All 12 episodes of Crash are available for global streaming on Disney+. It is currently the second-highest-rated drama in the history of ENA.
