BTS, short for Bangtan Sonyeondan, debuted in 2013. This South Korean boy band has achieved remarkable success in pop music, collaborating with several artists. The original meaning of the name, Bangtan Sonyeondan, is the Bulletproof Boys.

The group comprises seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, and the fanbase is called the BTS ARMY. Several times, the band has topped global music charts, and their Grammy nomination became one of the notable achievements.

Comprising three rappers and four vocalists, they have achieved numerous milestones, including attending and winning the Top Social Artist Award at the Billboard Music Awards multiple times.


Educational background of all BTS members

Not only do they dominate the music industry, but the BTS members also possess remarkable educational backgrounds.


1) RM

The leader of Bangtan Boys ( BTS), RM, is also known as Kim Nam-joon. He was born in September 1994, in a place near llsan-gu, Goyang, South Korea. Since his childhood he was noted for his intelligence, achieving a score in the top 1% club of the national university entrance examinations.

He was good at Maths, Foreign language, Social Studies, etc and he has a special preference for writing poems. RM holds a degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment from Global Cyber University. He learned English by watching Friends and other classic English series.

However, Namjoon is an avid reader and he often posts about his current reads and book recommendations to his fans.


2) Jin

Another member of BTS, Kim Seok-jin, mostly known as Jin, has studied at Bousung High School. He continued his higher studies at Konkuk University, graduating with distinction in art and acting, and a degree in Film and Visual Studies in 2017.

Born in December 1994, this BTS member enrolled himself at Hanyang Cyber University for various courses. During his school days, he got an opportunity from SM Entertainment but discarded it to pursue his acting career.


3) Jungkook

Jungkook is the youngest member of BTS, born in 1997. He was born as Jeon Jeong-Guk in Busan, South Korea. During his middle school years at Baekyang Elementary and Middle School, he showed a keen interest in sports, particularly badminton, dreaming of a career in the field.

However, inspired by his favorite artists, he transitioned to pursuing singing and later joined Singu Middle School in Seoul as a trainee. Jungkook studied at the School of Performing Arts in Seoul. He then attended Global Cyber University, majoring in Broadcasting and Entertainment.

This 27-year-old member is praised for his distinctive personality and meaningful tattoos, especially the one that reads "ARMY" on his knuckles.


4) Suga

Suga was born on March 9, 1993, in Daegu. Since his childhood, Suga faced financial struggles, working part-time at a recording studio. Suga, originally known as Min Yoon-gi, used to deliver food in his early life.

Despite these challenges, he remained determined, eventually earning a degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment from Global Cyber University, and pursuing a Master of Business Administration program at Hanyang Cyber University.

Due to his unsupportive family, he has to face quite a challenge to enter this industry, causing him depression, OCD, and other mental illnesses.


5) V

Kim Taehyung, also known as "V," is one of the prominent members of the seven-member South Korean group BTS. He celebrates his birthday on December 30 and was born in 1995.

Born into a well-established family in Seo District, Daegu, South Korea, V was raised in Geochang County, South Gyeongsang Province. He attended Changnam Elementary School before moving to Geochang Middle School, where his interest in music began to grow.

For high school, he enrolled in Korean Arts High School and later pursued a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment at Global Cyber University. V is reportedly pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Advertising and Media from Hanyang Cyber University.


6) Jimin

Jimin, originally known as Park Jimin, is renowned for his gentle and melodious voice. Jimin attended Hodong Elementary School and Yonsan Middle School in Busan, before graduating from Korean Arts High School in 2014. Later, he pursued Broadcasting and Entertainment at Global Cyber University.

He was born on October 13, 1995, in Busan, South Korea, Jimin grew up in a family of four, including his father, mother, and younger brother. Inspired by a performance by the renowned idol Rain, Jimin developed a passion for dancing.

Later, he joined a dance class to learn various styles, including 'locking and popping.' He also enrolled in Busan High School of Arts to learn contemporary dance.


7) J- Hope

J-Hope is another talented member of the seven-member boy band BTS, and his original name is Jung Ho-Seok. He was born on February 18, 1994, and his mother and sister were his support.

In his early years, J-Hope was part of an underground dance group called "Neuron," where his dynamic moves gained popularity. He pursued his education at Global Cyber University, earning a degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment, and later completed his Master of Business Administration in Advertising and Media at Hanyang Cyber University.
