1) Lisa: Best K-pop award
BLACKPINK member Lisa clinched her second MTV VMAs award for her solo single Rockstar, released in June 2024. Lisa and her bandmates have appeared in the winner list of MTV VMAs often, but this year, she scripted history by being the first soloist K-pop idol to bag the Best K-pop award.

After receiving the award, Lisa thanked her fans Lily and BLINK, saying,
"Rockstar' was a meaningful comeback for me after 'Lalisa'. So this is very, very special to me. Thank you to [my] RCA family and Team Loud, and BLINKs and Lilies all around the world! Thank you so much for this award."
Lisa opened her set with the bold and empowering track, New Woman, donning a striking red leather two-piece that reportedly captivated the audience.
Lisa’s set then moved into her fiery single, Rockstar, where she was joined by a dozen of dancers. Previously, Lisa debuted on the MTV VMAs stage along with her bandmates to perform Pink Venom in 2022.
