The first episode of Face Me opens with Kim Seok-Hoon (Jeon Bae-Su), the director of KSH Cosmetic Surgery, announcing that the company is expanding globally. They are partnering with a resort company to enter international markets. This move is led by ace surgeon Cha Jeong-Woo.

The scene then shifts to Cha Jeong-Woo (Lee Min-ki) performing surgery on a celebrity patient. Later, he goes to a club with colleagues. Detective Lee Min-Hyung (Han Ji-Hyun) arrives at the club to investigate a scammer who targets wealthy men. This scammer is a former patient of Cha Jeong-Woo who advises her to have her new jawline checked. The scammer recognizes Min-Hyung and seeing her with her photo, runs off. A chase ensues, ending with her arrest.

In the next episode of Face Me, a girl named Hyo-Ju, who has second-degree burns on her face, seeks a consultation with Jeong-Woo, accompanied by her father. The father claims the burns were caused by hot water in the shower. Jeong-Woo refuses to perform surgery due to their policy against reconstructive procedures.

The father gets angry and causes a scene, which is calmed by Han Woo-Jin (Lee Yi-Kyung). Later, during Jeong-Woo's surgery, a patient's mother arrives with police, demanding the surgery be stopped, saying her daughter, who suffers from anxiety and depression, shouldn't undergo the procedure.

Jeong-Woo explains that the patient has consented and that there’s no obligation to check her mental health. This incident makes headlines, causing many of Jeong-Woo's clients to cancel their appointments.

Meanwhile in this episode of Face Me, another patient arrives for a general plastic surgery consultation, requesting changes to her entire face. Jeong-Woo advises her to reconsider, as she seems uncertain. As she leaves the hospital parking lot, she is attacked by her stalker with a glass bottle, causing cuts and broken facial bones. She is rushed back to the hospital, where Jeong-Woo performs a check-up and stitches her wounds.

Min-Hyung is assigned to the case and inspects the crime scene, finding only broken glass and blood, with no clear evidence against the stalker. CCTV footage shows the stalker being pushed but no assault. The stalker claims he bumped into Kim Da-Hee in the parking lot by chance, and after a brief exchange, he was pushed and accidentally hit her with a glass bottle. Kim Da-Hee, recovering from surgery, is shocked by the lack of evidence and the stalker's statement.

Min-Hyung visits Jeong-Woo for his opinion on the case, but Jeong-Woo demands a warrant to release patient information. During their conversation, the father of Hyo-Ju bursts into Jeong-Woo's office. He accuses him of causing his daughter to run away by refusing the surgery. Security escorts him out.

The stalker is released due to lack of evidence. As he leaves his lawyer's office, Min-Hyung confronts him about his claim of being at the pub in the same building of the hospital, which was closed at the time.

The stalker struggles to explain, but his lawyer interrupts. Min-Hyung notices a tracking app on the stalker's phone. She learns that Kim Da-Hee’s security is still in progress and rushes to the hospital.

At the hospital, Kim Da-Hee expresses doubt about surviving until her next check-up. Jeong-Woo is left contemplating her words. Later, the stalker attacks Da-Hee again in the parking lot, kidnapping her. Min-Hyung spots them and chases the car but gets into an accident.

She then with help of Jeong-Woo eventually catches the car, crossing it and forcing it to stop. She finds the stalker assaulting Da-Hee, breaks the window, and arrests him. The police and ambulance arrive, and Jeong-Woo attends to Da-Hee's wounds.

The incident triggers memories for Jeong-Woo of his ex-girlfriend. He recalls shopping for their wedding when a car crash occurred outside the store. As an emergency doctor, he rushed to help, assisting the injured person and paramedics. Later, as he was heading home, he received a distressed call from his girlfriend. In a panic, he dialed the emergency helpline but was struck by an oncoming truck while crossing the road.

At the next day of the incident, in this episode of Face Me Jeong-woo sends his surgeon opinion to Min-hyung surprising her. The case is covered in the media, and the Hyo-Ju's father watches the news while drinking. Jeong-Woo drinks alone, setting a glass for his ex-girlfriend, whom he still remembers.

Later that night, Min-Hyung arrives at a crime scene and finds Hyo-Ju's father, dead. She immediately recognizes him. In his pocket, she finds a note accusing Jeong-Woo of selectively treating patients. The episode 1 of Face me ends here.

Episode 2 of Face Me begins with Min-Hyung and her team investigating the crime scene and interrogating building residents. The media coverage of the father’s death and his message about Jeong-Woo affects the cosmetic surgery clinic, leading to canceled appointments and postponed global partnerships.

To address this, Kim Seok-Hoon proposes a partnership with the police for victim medical check-ups. A new case arises involving a sexual assault predator who is attacked with a knife by a victim in a PC gaming arena restroom. Jeong-Woo treats the wound.

During discharge, he tells Seo Kang-Ho (Seo Kang-Ho), Min-Hyung's team mate that the person who wielded the knife must be taller than the victim. Seo Kang-Ho hearing this rushes to the reported victim's house, where he finds the boyfriend, who flees at the sight of his, but is caught.

Min-Hyung uncovers evidence that the assault was not self-defense but the boyfriend's attack on the victim after losing a game in the arcade. The boyfriend admits his guilt and explains he stabbed the victim in anger and later tried to frame his girlfriend.

After the case closes, Min-Hyung and Seo Kang-Ho receive a tip from the Hyo-Ju's neighbors. They describe seeing a man wearing all black with strange shoes on the day Hyo-Ju's father died. This prompts Min-Hyung to reconsider the case, believing it may not be suicide.

Previously in this episode of Face Me, Hyo-Ju had asked Min-Hyung to close the case, claiming that everything pointed to suicide. She also expressed discomfort, as it drew attention to her burn, which was actually inflicted by her father. However, after receiving new information, Min-Hyung starts to doubt this conclusion.

Min-Hyung and Kang-Ho discuss the motive behind the crime, noting that the killer involved Jeong-Woo by putting his name on the note. They fear for Jeong-Woo’s safety. Meanwhile, Jeong-Woo drives home, unaware that a man in black is following him. Episode 20 of Face Me ends here.

Episodes 3 and 4 of Face Me will be released on KBS2 on November 13 and 14, 2024, respectively. They will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:50 PM (KST) and will also be available for streaming on Viki in selected regions.
