The news broke when eagle-eyed fans noticed on December 10, 2024, that Jungkook's canine friend Bam’s Instagram account @bowwow_bam had linked to Threads, signaling a new addition to the pop star’s online presence. Shortly after, the account gained traction, with fans flooding social media sharing their enthusiasm.
One fan humorously remarked:

"What if jungkook just randomly downloaded and made an account on threads just bc Instagram suggested?? What if he has not intention to post there?😭 do I really have to download that a** app😭guess I'm doing it now" posted this X user.

Jungkook expands Bam's social media presence: Instagram, YouTube, and now Threads
In 2021, BTS made headlines when all seven members—RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and JK—launched their personal Instagram accounts. Fans around the globe rushed to follow their favorites, with follower counts skyrocketing into the millions within hours.
However, the Standing Next to You singer shocked the fandom when he deactivated his Instagram account, which had amassed over 52 million followers, explaining that he no longer used the platform.
On April 14, 2024, the idol surprised fans again by creating an Instagram account for his red-and-tan Dobermann dog, Bam, under the name @bowwow_bam. On December 10, 2024, fans noticed that Bam’s Instagram account had been linked to Threads, marking the pet’s expansion to another platform.
Previously, Jungkook had also launched a YouTube channel for Bam under the name 밤이 아빠 Bam's Dad.
The @bowwow_bam Instagram account has already garnered 6.6 million followers, while Bam’s YouTube channel boasts over 543,000 subscribers. Meanwhile, Bam’s newly added Threads account has tracked an impressive 260,000 followers within hours of its discovery.
