While the second season of Squid Game is set to premiere on December 26, 2024, the third season of the show has already been confirmed. Season three is expected to comprise seven episodes.

The rom-com K-drama Can This Love Be Translated? is also set to make its debut on Netflix in the following year. The show will feature Kim Seon-ho, Go Youn-jung, Lee Yi-dam, Choi Woo-sung, and Sota Fukushi in the leading roles, alongside other supporting characters. There will be a total of ten episodes in this drama.

As stated in the synopsis of this series, Ju Ho-jin is a skilled multilingual interpreter who is appointed as the personal translator for the renowned actress Cha Mu-hee. Notwithstanding their divergent perspectives on love, their conversations are rife with humorous misinterpretations.

However, as they spend more time together, their connection deepens, facilitating engaging conversations and moments of shared understanding.

3) Cashero

Season one of Cashero is planned for release next year. The upcoming action-fantasy drama will feature Lee Jun-ho, Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byung-cheol, Kim Hyang-gi, and Kang Han-na in the main roles.

The plot is about a seemingly ordinary public servant, Kang Sang-Woong, who possesses extraordinary superhuman power. His strength is solely determined by the cash he possesses; the wealthier Sang Woong is, the more powerful he gets.

After finding out about Sang-Woong's skills, lawyer Byeon Ho-In, also a superhuman, proposes a partnership to preserve the earth with Bang Eun-Mi, whose telekinetic skills depend on her caloric intake.


4) Mercy for None

Another Netflix action-mystery drama, Mercy for None, is also on the release roster for 2025. This show will have a total of eight episodes. Its cast members include So Ji-sub, Ahn Kil-kang, Lee Beom-soo, Gong Myoung, and Huh Joon-ho, among others.

Gi-joon, the show's protagonist, is the most formidable criminal underworld fighter, who puts an end to the supremacy conflict between Seoul's feuding gangs. However, in order to avoid a showdown with his brother Gi-seok, who becomes a member of an opposing gang, Gi-joon abandons his life.

Gi-seok then gets assassinated fifteen years later, on the eve of his retirement. When Gi-joon learns who killed his brother, he goes on a solo quest for revenge.


5) Hong Rang

Hong Rang (Tangeum) is also on Netflix’s 2025 roster. This historical romance comes with an element of thrilling depth. The show features Lee Jae-wook, Jo Bo-ah, Jung Ga-ram, Uhm Ji-won, and Park Byung-eun in the leading roles. There will be a total of twelve episodes in the series.

The plot of this period drama is set in the late Joseon Dynasty. Hong Rang, the progeny of an affluent art trade family, re-emerges after vanishing unexpectedly over a decade prior, during his childhood. His half-sister, Jae-yi, harbors suspicions regarding his homecoming and endeavors to unravel the enigma of Hong Rang's abduction.


6) Trigger

The first season of the upcoming action thriller series, Trigger, is set to debut in 2025 on Netflix. The cast members will be Kim Nam-gil, Kim Young-kwang, Woo Ji-hyun, and Gu Hyun. There will be a total of ten episodes in the series.

The plot of Trigger intends to highlight the firearm-related crimes in South Korea that are virtually nonexistent. However, as illicit firearms enter the country, the incidence of related events escalates, prompting Detective Lee Do, a former military sharpshooter, to pursue Moon Baek, a fastidious underground arms dealer.


7) When Life Gives You Tangerines

Netflix’s upcoming K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines will feature IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, Park Hae-joon, and Lee Cheon-mu in the main roles. The runtime of each episode will be around 70 minutes. The first season of the 16-episode K-drama is set to air in 2025.

Netflix’s Two Women will have a total of fifteen episodes. The romantic K-drama will feature Kim Go-eun, Park Ji-hyun, and Kim Gun-woo.

The story is about two women, Ryu Eun-jung and Cheon Sang-yeon, as the title suggests. Ever since grade school, they've been best friends and rivals. However, since high school, they haven't been in touch much.

Now that they are both in their 40s, Sang-yeon, a successful movie director, goes to see Eun-jung, a drama series writer, and tells her that she has cancer. They fight Sang-yeon's cancer together while thinking about their ties, lives, and how they've affected each other.


10) You Killed

You Killed is underway for its release in 2025. The Netflix show is being made under Lee Jung-lim's direction. The story is based on a novel by Hideo Okuda.

Eun-Soo (Jeon So-nee) sells luxury products in a department store. Trauma has plagued her since childhood. Hee-Soo (Lee Yoo-mi), her friend, also has comparable grief from her past. Hee-Soo was a promising children's book author, but not anymore.

Jin-Pyo (Jang Seung-jo), her aggressive spouse, makes her life hell, so Hee-Soo flees her abusive spouse. To save her friend Hee-Soo, Eun-Soo kills Jin-Pyo, and the two women plan his suicide. CEO Jin So-baek (Lee Mu-saeng) runs Jingang Firm. He notices their scheme and supports them strongly.
