(G)I-DLE Miyeon's new images have been released from her special appearance in the movie Victory. Supporting her friend Lee Hyeri, she has returned to the world of drama as a school student.
Miyeon's surprise cameo in the post-credits scene created a buzz among the audience as the singer-actor flaunted her acting and dancing skills.
The film's distributor, Mindmark Movies, shared the stills of the (G)I-DLE member from the movie on X (formerly Twitter) on August 20, 2024.
Miyeon's past acting projects have been well-received by her fans, making them anticipate her debut on the big screen, and her cameo in Victory marks the singer's first appearance in a film.
Miyeon's cameo in Victory brings two friends to the screen
Set in 1999 in a small village in Geojo, the film navigates the story of a group of high-school girls, with Lee Hyeri as the lead actress. It revolves around the struggle of small-town teenage girls as they follow their passion for dance and music.
Pursuing their passion, the high-school students open a cheerleading club called 'Millenium Club'. Miyeon appears in the post-credits scene as one of the school girls auditioning for the said club, showcasing her idol-like dance skills.
Miyeon's cameo, according to Daum, was made possible due to her friendship with lead actress Hyeri, who plays the role of Pil Sun. The duo is known to have been friends for a long time now.
On August 16, the (G) I-DLE member congratulated Lee Hyeri on the release of her movie with an Instagram post, showcasing the singer's sweet and friendly interactions with the cast of Victory.
The caption reads,
"I can finally post these photos... Millenium Girls are the best. Victory."
(G)-IDLE Miyeon's dominant screen presence
Miyeon is popularly known for her achievements in the K-pop group (G)I-DLE. In 2021, the 27-year-old made her acting debut in the web drama series Replay: The Moment. Following this, she appeared in multiple dramas including Her Bucket List, Delivery, and Adult Trainee.
Miyeon has maintained a dominant presence on television and mobile screens with multiple gigs, including hosting a music show and variety shows. She recently stepped down from her role as an MC on the Korean music show M Countdown, which was dearly loved by her fans.
Currently, the singer-actor is a panelist on the show My Sibling's Romance alongside Got7's BamBam, sibling entertainers Jonathan and Patricia Yiombi, Han Hye-jin, and Code Kunst.
