Good Partner, starring Jang Na-ra and Nam Ji-hyun, aired its initial episodes on Friday, July 12, 2024, and Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10 pm KST on SBS. Good Partner follows the story of two divorce lawyers with differing values working together.
In Good Partner, Jang Na-ra plays the role of Cha Eun-kyung, a 17-year veteran divorce lawyer working as a partner lawyer at one of the biggest law firms in the country. Cha Eun-kyung believes in serving her clients’ wishes while working towards the profits of the company as her top priority.
Meanwhile, Nam Ji-hyun portrays Han Yu-ri, a rookie lawyer who is not interested in working for divorce clients. She has upright values and can not give in to injustice around her.

As Han Yu-ri starts working under Cha Eun-kyung, the two clash with each other daily. However, Han Yu-ri becomes Cha Eun-kyung's "good partner" as a personal crisis arises.
Good Partner ep 1-2 recap: Nam Ji-hyun reveals Jang Na-ra's husband's extramarital affair
The first episode of Good Partner introduced Han Yu-ri as a rookie lawyer who expected to work in the corporate department of Daejeong Law Firm. However, due to low points during her recruitment process, she ended up getting employed at the divorce department.
There, she encountered Cha Eun-kyung, who is known to be the best divorce lawyer at the firm and is widely popular for her success rate across the country.
Han Yu-ri had previously met Cha Eun-kyung as a student when the latter once appeared as a special lecturer. She was not a huge fan of Cha Eun-kyung as they had differing opinions on divorce law and cases, and she was surprised to see Cha Eun-kyung.
On the first day of her work, she had to meet her first client without even studying the case. In this case, the husband, Park Jong-sik (Jang Hyuk-jin), did not want a divorce from his wife, Kim Eun-hee (Shim So-young).
Kim Eun-hee accused Park Jong-sik of adultery with his manager, Jang Eun-ji (Lee In-ha). Park Jong-sik came with his son Park Min-joon (Yuk Jae-hyeon) to meet Han Yu-ri. Cha Eun-kyung had warned that Park Jong-sik had cheated on Kim Eun-hee, purely judging by his actions. However, Han Yu-ri was convinced he was innocent as he pleaded.
Later, Kim Eun-hee brought evidence against him to the court, but Park Jong-sik denied the allegations. Park Jong-sik used the evidence against him with an explanation, and with the help of his employees' and Park Min-joon’s statements against Kim Eun-hee, he won the case.
Kim Eun-hee had to pay the bills of Park Jong-sik’s lawyer Han Yu-ri and the judge stated that the divorce was not possible in this case. Following her first win, Han Yu-ri found out that Park Jong-sik was indeed cheating on Kim Eun-hee and felt extremely guilty as Eun-hee had caught him cheating on her multiple times.
She returned to the office and found herself writing a resignation letter. At that moment, she remembered the relaxing room on the 16th floor of the building and went there. Meanwhile, Cha Eun-kyung also returned to the office to pick up a document. She visited Han Yu-ri's office and saw the resignation letter on her monitor.
By the end of episode 1 of Good Partner, Han Yu-ri saw a shocking view as she went up to the room on the 16th floor, where Kim Ji-sang (Ji Seung-hyun), Cha Eun-kyung's husband, was having s*xual intercourse with a lady. Kim Ji-sang is a medical advisor at the Daejeong Law Firm.
As she turned around, she saw Cha Eun-kyung, but was unable to tell her that she saw her husband cheating on her.
In the second episode of Good Partner, Han Yu-ri and Cha Eun-kyung worked on their first case together where they had differing opinions once again. In this case, two defendants who had been cheated on by their partners had to decide if they wished to keep their children’s custody or give them up in exchange for monetary compensation.
Cha Eun-kyung advised the defendants to make the most of this opportunity even if it was to take the compensation and that she would proceed with their decision. On the other hand, Han Yu-ri wished for the defendants to fight for custody.
Meanwhile, Han Yu-ri asked her colleague Jeon Eun-ho (Pyo Ji-hoon) if she should expose Kim Ji-sang’s actions to Cha Eun-kyung without revealing it was about her. Jeon Eun-ho advised her to tell her right away.
Despite their argument on the case, the defendants decided to accept the compensation and give up the custody, as Cha Eun-kyung had visualized. However, while returning to the office, Cha Eun-kyung mentioned to Han Yu-ri that the pros for the defendants, in this case, outweighed the cons, which Han Yu-ri was not happy with.
As they returned to the office, Han Yu-ri realized that Choi Sa-ra (Han Jae-yi), Cha Eun-kyung’s secretary, was the lady with Kim Ji-sang. This was the moment she decided to expose their affair to Cha Eun-kyung.
Han Yu-ri had tried to speak about this before the trial, but Cha Eun-kyung stopped her and asked her to do it after the case was closed. Cha Eun-kyung believed that Han Yu-ri wanted to talk about her resignation and stopped her as she did not want her to leave.
Han Yu-ri met Cha Eun-kyung near her house and told her about Kim Ji-sang, but it turns out that the latter already knew about it. She also knew that the person he cheated on her with was Choi Sa-ra. Han Yu-ri thought back to when Cha Eun-kyung had said that the wife always knows when a husband is cheating and that she knows it with all her senses.
It is yet to see what happens next on Good Partner.
