Good Partner starring Nam Ji-hyun, Jang Na-ra, Kim Jun-han, and Pyo Ji-hoon aired episode 5 on Friday, July 27 on SBS at 10 pm KST. Good Partner follows the story of a veteran lawyer Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Na-ra) and a rookie lawyer Han Yu-ri (Nam Ji-hyun) who have opposite personalities working together.
Despite having different values and morals, Han Yu-ri eventually becomes a good partner of Cha Eun-kyung as the story progresses. With the development in the latest episode, Han Yu-ri successfully used media and keyword play as a countermeasure to tackle Kim Ji-sang and Choi Sa-ra's allegations against Cha Eun-kyung.

Good Partner Ep 5 recap: Nam Ji-hyun finds a solution for rumors against Jang Na-ra and Kim Jun-han
In episode 5 of Good Partner, Cha Eun-kyung is caught up in dating rumors with her junior Jung Woo-jin (Kim Jun-han). Kim Ji-sang (Ji Seung-hyun) filed a counter-complaint against Cha Eun-kyung stating that their marriage was damaged because of the latter's affair with Jung Woo-jin.
Furthermore, Kim Ji-sang met a reporter claiming that he did not commit adultery and made a rumor about Cha Eun-kyung and her “office husband” Jung Woo-jin. Previously in the Good Partner, Han Yu-ri received a complaint against Cha Eun-kyung and visited her cabin. There she witnessed her seemingly close to Jung Woo-jin.
Han Yu-ri almost believed something was off between them, but the misunderstanding was cleared as Cha Eun-kyung accidentally broke a glass and Jung Woo-jin was helping her clean it. Later, Han Yu-ri was called by the Daejeong law firm CEO Oh Dae-gyu (Jung Jae-sung).
Since Han Yu-ri represents Cha Eun-kyung in her divorce case against Kim Ji-sang, Oh Dae-gyu wanted her to leave no room for any mistakes. The CEO also asked Han Yu-ri not to believe Jung Woo-jin and Cha Eun-kyung and to check the facts before taking countermeasures.
Han Yu-ri being an uptight person met Cha Eun-kyung as her lawyer and asked her to be honest about Jung Woo-jin. Cha Eun-kyung was furious as Han Yu-ri did not believe her and profusely denied the rumors. This was followed, by Han Yu-ri's meeting with Jung Woo-jin whom she asked the same question.
Jung Woo-jin spoke highly about Cha Eun-kyung and stated that he respected her as her subordinate. There were rumors at the law firm that Jung Woo-jin was in one-sided love with Cha Eun-kyung, Han Yu-ri felt the same when he spoke about her.
Moreover, Jung Woo-jin wanted to help her find countermeasures in this case. However, Han Yu-ri declined his involvement and stated that she would take care of it.
In the second half of Good Partner episode 5, Han Yu-ri is asked to visit a countryside client to collect compensation from them. Han Yu-ri was surprised as she was not aware of this, she was informed that Cha Eun-kyung had assigned this task to newly hired lawyers.
Han Yu-ri was also informed that Jeon Eun-ho (Pyo Ji-hoon) would join her, whom she had been awkward with because of the motel incident. Jeon Eun-ho and Han Yu-ri visited the client in the countryside. They found out that they had re-registered their marriage and were not ready to pay for the law firm's services for their divorce.
This was because they planned a fictitious divorce to pay off their debt. Jeon Eun-ho and Han Yu-ri learned a textbook example coming true, which was a fictitious divorce. Jeon Eun-ho wanted to file a complaint against them at the firm, however, Han Yu-ri asked him not to.
When Jeon Eun-ho asked her the reason behind it, Han Yu-ri stated that this was the first time she witnessed someone protecting their loved ones. Han Yu-ri faced clients who were ready to tear each other apart, but this time she saw the husband and wife deceiving others to protect each other.
Later, while having dinner at a local restaurant, they discussed that night in the motel. Han Yu-ri wanted to stay friends and did not want things to be awkward between them at work. Jeon Eun-ho suggested that they date casually.
Han Yu-ri stated that marriage is not her plan and there is nothing as casual in a man and a woman. Jeon Eun-ho accepted her feelings however he wanted her to know that he liked her. Han Yu-ri then decided to go home separately.
By the end of episode 5 of Good Partner, Han Yu-ri found the countermeasure with the lesson she learned from the countryside clients. Han Yu-ri decided to use the textbook example of “de facto bigamy”, in the case of Kim Ji-sang and Choi Sa-ra (Han Jae-yi).
Han Yu-ri met Cha Eun-kyung and suggested that they should throw the keyword “de facto bigamy”, just like Kim Ji-sang had used “office husband”. Due to Cha Eun-kyung's popularity as a divorce lawyer, the public would be more curious about the term and their plan of making a show out of this divorce case would also succeed.
Later, Cha Eun-kyung was seen furiously visiting a restaurant where Choi Sa-ra was sitting with daughter Kim Jae-hee (Yu-na). However, the episode ends on a cliffhanger.
Due to the 2024 Olympics broadcast, Good Partner episode 6 has been postponed and will be aired on Saturday, August 16 at 10 pm KST on SBS.
