Good Partner, starring Nam Ji-hyun and Jang Na-ra, aired episodes 7 and 8 on August 23 and 24, respectively on SBS. The K-drama is about two female divorce lawyers with different approaches toward their jobs working together.
In Good Partner, Jang Na-ra plays the role of a veteran lawyer Cha Eun-kyung, whose expertise is in divorce. Cha Eun-kyung is known countrywide for her cases and prefers to approach the cases practically by fulfilling her clients' wishes. Meanwhile, Han Yu-ri is a rookie lawyer working under Cha Eun-kyung, who is inclined toward justice and is emotionally driven toward her work.
Due to their different values and morals, Cha Eun-kyung and Han Yu-ri often clash with each other. However, as Cha Eun-kyung finds herself in a personal crisis, Han Yu-ri becomes a good partner to her.

In recent developments, Han Yu-ri was worried about Cha Eun-kyung and wanted to find the best solution for her as her attorney. With her efforts, Han Yu-ri tried to give Cha Eun-kyung at least a half-hearted apology from the people who hurt her.
Good Partner ep 8-9 recap: Jang Na-ra receives an apology from Han Jae-yi because of Nam Ji-hyun
Episode 8 of Good Partner started with a fact-finding investigation into Kim Jae-hee’s (Yu-na) custody. Kim Ji-sang (Ji Seung-hyun) claimed that Cha Eun-kyung was a selfish career woman and that he raised Jae-hee alone. Cha Eun-kyung admitted that she was absent sometimes, but it was not because she prioritized her work over Jae-hee.
Before the first fact-finding at Kim Ji-sang’s house, Jae-hee had found an ultrasound image of a fetus, suspecting it to be Kim Ji-sang and Choi Sa-ra's (Han Jae-yi) baby. Choi Sa-ra had placed that image so that Jae-hee would find out about it herself. Jae-hee told the investigator that she wanted her parents to be honest with her but did not open up about with whom she wanted to live.
The next day, Jae-hee met Choi Sa-ra and found out it was indeed her and Kim Ji-sang’s child. As Choi Sa-ra tried to give a half-hearted apology, Jae-hee lashed out at her, asking if she apologized to her mother, Cha Eun-kyung.
During the second fact-finding investigation at Cha Eun-kyung’s house, Jae-hee revealed to the investigator that she already knew that her father cheated on her mother with her secretary. She also told the investigator about her half-sister but asked her to not tell this to Cha Eun-kyung as she wanted to protect her mother.
Episode 8 of Good Partner ended with Cha Eun-kyung finding out about Choi Sa-ra’s pregnancy through the investigator. Cha Eun-kyung was left heartbroken after knowing that Jae-hee was already aware of her father's adultery but kept it from her just so that she did not get hurt.
In episode 9 of Good Partner, Cha Eun-kyung was furious and went straight to Choi Sa-ra, confronting her actions and nearly getting into a physical fight. Besides this, Kim Ji-sang also lashed out at Choi Sa-ra for using a cheap trick to tell Jae-hee about their child.
Kim Ji-sang further questioned the legitimacy of the child, stating that he did not believe that it could be his child. He ended things with her and asked to never see him again.
This whole time, Han Yu-ri had been looking out for Cha Eun-kyung as her attorney. Cha Eun-kyung seemed a little emotional while handling the recent case and Han Yu-ri could not help but notice it.
From this case, Cha Eun-kyung learned that maybe she wanted a sincere apology from Choi Sa-ra and Kim Ji-sang and that this could be the reason why she delayed filing a divorce. Cha Eun-kyung told this to Han Yu-ri while they were drinking at dinner after the case was closed.
The next day, Choi Sa-ra knelt at Daejeong Law Firm and apologized to Cha Eun-kyung. However, Cha Eun-kyung asked her to leave immediately. When Cha Eun-kyung asked Han Yu-ri if it was her behind Choi Sa-ra’s apology, Han Yu-ri stated that she did not negotiate the alimony with Choi Sa-ra but spoke to her since she would be a mother in the future.
Cha Eun-kyung stated that she did a good job even if Choi Sa-ra's apology was fake. She further added that at least now she could ask Jae-hee to put it all behind her as she received an apology from Choi Sa-ra. She also said that now she could ask Jae-hee to live her life as a child and didn't need to protect her. Previously, Han Yu-ri had met Choi Sa-ra and asked her to apologize to Cha Eun-kyung if she wanted to be qualified as a mother for her child.
By the end of episode 9 of Good Partner, Cha Eun-kyung and Jae-hee were seen cooking together and spending quality time, which they could not do before. Jae-hee apologized to Cha Eun-kyung for not telling her about Kim Ji-sang and Choi Sa-ra, and Cha Eun-kyung also apologized. The mother and daughter hugged each other while shedding tears. It is yet to be seen what happens next on Good Partner.
