On January 3, Grammy revealed the names of the eight much-anticipated rookie K-pop acts to look forward to in 2025 through an article. It was titled '8 Rookie K-Pop Acts To Watch In 2025: ARTMS, NEXZ, MEOVV & More.'

The prestigious award show mentioned that the rising and rookie K-pop groups will be shaping the fifth generation of the Korean music industry. According to Grammy, the following below-listed group will be shining with their forthcoming music in 2025:

  2. ARTMS
  3. NEXZ
  4. RESCENE
  5. MEOVV
  6. SAY MY NAME
  7. izna
  8. KickFlip

According to Gramophone Awards, YG Entertainment and SM Entertainment have introduced their forthcoming rookie K-pop groups.


K-pop groups to look forward to in 2025: SAY MY NAME, QWER, NEXZ, and others


1) QWER

The South Korean girl group QWER features four members: Chodan, Magenta, Hina, and Siyeon. They were formed through a YouTube series, QWER Project. It aimed to form a girl group featuring female online personalities. The initiative was launched by Tamago Production's Kim Gye-ran in collaboration with 3Y Corporation.

The K-pop band made its official debut on October 18, 2023. They unveiled the debut single album titled Harmony from Discord. They unveiled multiple records, including Manito, Algorithm's Blossom, My Name Is Malguem, and others.


2) ARTMS

The South Korean K-pop girl group ARTMS formed by Modhaus features five members. It includes Heejin, Haseul, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry. They were former members of the now-disbanded group Loona.

ARTMS made its official debut on May 31, 2024, with the single Virtual Angel. The track was part of the band's debut album DALL. They revealed more records, such as The Carol 3.0, Birth, Flower Rhythm, and others.


3) NEXZ

NEXZ is a Japanese boy band based in South Korea. They feature seven members, including Yuki, Haru, Yu, So Geon, Seita, Hyui, and Tomoya. They were formed through the survival reality program Nizi Project Season 2. JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment Japan managed them.

The K-pop group debuted on May 20, 2024, with the single album Ride the Vibe. They release many other records, including Nallina, Keep on Moving, Starlight, and other pieces.


4) RESCENE

RESCENE is the first Korean girl group of Muze Entertainment. They feature five members, including Woni, Zena Liv, Minami, and May. The band released their debut studio album, Re: Scene, on March 26, 2024. The record featured two tracks, namely, Yoyo and Uhuh.

The band released other albums, including Scenedrome. It is to be noted that their track Love Attack was added by the Grammy Awards to the list of best K-pop songs.


5) MEOVV

Formed and managed by The Black Label, MEOVV features five members, including Sooin, Anna, Gawon, Narin, and Ella. The K-pop girl group made their official debut on September 6, 2024, with the digital single Meow.

Subsequently, the five-member band released more records, including Toxic and Body. They also bagged the Favorite Rising Artist Award at the 2024 MAMA Awards.


6) SAY MY NAME

The South Korean girl group SAY MY NAME was formed by Inkode Entertainment. It features seven members, including Soha, Seungjoo, Mei, Dohee, Hitomi, Junhwi and Kanny.

The seven-member Korean band made their official debut on October 16, 2024, with the debut extended play titled SAY MY NAME. The record featured four tracks, including Be a Star, WaveWay, 8llowme, and Goldilocks Water.


7) Izna

The South Korean girl group Izna features seven members, including Mai, Jeemin, Jiyoon, Koko, Jungeun, Sarang, and Saebi. They were formed through the Mnet's survival show I-Land 2: N/a. The band was produced by Teddy and managed by WakeOne.

The Korean group made their official debut with the album on November 25, 2024, with the extended play N/a. The record featured five tracks, including Izna, Timebomb, IWALY (Izna version, Drip, and Fake It.


8) KickFlip

Formed through the SBS survival show LOUD, the band KickFlip will be making their debut as a group on January 6, 2024. The boy group features four members, including Lee Gye-hun, Amaru, Keiju, and Lee Dong-hyeon. They are managed by JYP Entertainment.


The fans were eagerly anticipating upcoming releases of the aforementioned bands of the fifth generation in 2025. They have expressed their desire to see the new concepts designed by the groups. Many also expect them to fill the forthcoming year with music they can listen to on a loop.
