"Sister, did you see the news? Was it you? Did you tell him what I looked like? But it wasn’t me. I didn’t push you." the kidnapper's messages reads.

Hee-joo, recovering in a hospital bed after her fall from the cliff, suspects the kidnapper is lying. She continues to get the messages on her phone:

"You probably don’t believe me. Since you backed out, you should return my phone. I’m on my way. Open the door."

As Hee-joo reads these texts, a noise at the hospital room door heightens her anxiety. Fearing it’s the kidnapper, she quickly locks the door, bracing herself as the intruder tries to force it open. As the pressure intensifies, Hee-joo crouches down, protecting her head with her arms, her eyes shut tight in terror.

Suddenly, a familiar voice—Baek Sa-eon’s—calls her name urgently from the other side. The door bursts open, revealing Sa-eon, visibly worried, as he looks at her. Fearful Hee-joo instantly hugs Sa-eon. He appears confused and concerned. He then asks her:

"What’s wrong? Did something happen? Huh?"

Shaken and unable to respond, Hee-joo collapses in his arms, losing consciousness, leaving Sa-eon to grapple with the mystery of what’s truly going on.
