BTS has recently etched their name in history yet again after they became the first group to surpass a whopping 40 billion streams across all credits on Spotify. On July 26, 2024, they surpassed the number of streams across all platform credits. It is not only the only Korean but also the first and only Asian act in history to do so.
According to the fandom, the surge in these streams is due to the release and the hype of Jimin's newest album, MUSE. Due to this reason, fans have honored the group by trending the hashtag, "HISTORY CREATOR BTS."
Fans took to X to share all sorts of congratulatory messages for the BTS boys over this instance.

BTS becomes the most streamed group ever on Spotify
BTS achieved the milestone of being bestowed upon with being the only group in history to surpass the 40-billion stream mark on Spotify. Fans are extremely delighted by this news as they have risen to this occasion among numerous other widely successful music groups.

Dynamite, BTS's first English-language single, became the most-streamed song by a K-pop group on Spotify. It reached over 1 billion streams in just eight months, setting a new benchmark for K-pop on the platform. It also holds the record for being the fastest song by a group to reach the milestone. They were also the first K-pop group to have multiple songs surpassing 1 billion streams each.

Additionally, Butter broke the record for the most-streamed K-pop song in a single day, with over 20.9 million streams within 24 hours of its release.
BTS was also the first Korean group to reach 5 billion streams on Spotify, marking a record-breaking milestone in the world of music. In 2020, the group was even the most-streamed K-pop group of the year on Spotify.
The boyband is expected to make a comeback in 2025 following the return of RM, Suga, V, Jimin, and Jungkook from their mandatory military service.
