On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, BTS' Jin appeared on the popular South Korean talk show, Salon Drip, which was aired on the YouTube channel, TEO. The Grammy-nominated artist talked about his military discharge, forthcoming solo album, his equation with his bandmates, and more.

During the interview, he shared that he was scared and nervous to perform on stage alone after he was discharged from the military. He added that it was difficult to fill the gap left behind by his members—Namjoon, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook. He said,

"I performed the day after I was discharged in June 13th and not being with my members made it more scary and nervous... I had a hard time because I didn't know how to fill in the gap. I was so worried about what I should do, but once I got used to it, I loved it!"

The Epiphany singer-songwriter continued that once he got the hang of doing solo projects, he started enjoying his journey as an artist as he could decide what his promotions and schedule should be like.

"When performing with my members we have a lot of various options, the music and choreography should be like this. But since I'm doing it by myself, I was like 'choreography?' 'Nope!!' , 'These schedules?' 'delete it!', 'But the fans want it', 'oh really? The include them'. I can decide on everything myself."

The BTS fanbase took to social media to react to the K-pop idol's response. One fan wrote on X,

"HYBE can't control jinhit lol"

Fans also commented on the Moon singer-songwriter stating that he tried to remove choreography from his forthcoming release.

"He said " Do I look like I want to get into the dance studio voluntarily? GTFO with your schedule" as he should and god intended," one fan wrote.
"Seokjin: cancel this.. Staff: but “ARMYs wants it” Seokjin: okay we are doing it!! Staff really have a big weapon to use against jinhit entertainment," another fan added.
"Still think the company can control him? lmao," another fan joked.

Others stated that the idol was "pure" and "genuine", and added that his talk made them "fall in love."

"The more I listen to Jins talk, the more I fall in love with him!!" one fan said.
"Jin is so pure and genuine.. at the same time hilarious. Loving this dude," another fan remarked.
"This album is a letter. Another letter for us." one fan noted.

BTS' Jin's concept films and visual clips for Happy include Spring Day lyrics and HYYH hints sparking fan speculations

On October 19, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC released the concept clip of the forthcoming album, Happy. Astute admirers noticed that the clip showed a stack of papers which included the lyric sheet of Spring Day from BTS' 2017 album, You Never Walk Alone.

Furthermore, on November 4, the label dropped the first visual clip of the artist which also made fans speculate if Happy would have any link to BTS' The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Trilogy aka HYYH album series from 2015 to 2016.

For the unversed, HYYH is the acronym of Hwa Yong Yeon Hwa which also translates to BTS' most beloved and ambitious album series, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life. The trilogy covers the storyline of Bangtan Universe, where Namjoon, Suga, Jin, j-hope, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook are portrayed as teenagers from dysfunctional families and poverty.

The storyline focuses on how the seven boys find peace and solace in each other and their friendship as they deal with mental illnesses and broken families. The Bangtan Universe (BU) storyline from HYYH was later adapted into a K-drama, Begin Youth, released in April 2024 on the Xclusive OTT platform.

Meanwhile, speculations ran amuck online as fans conjectured whether the album Happy, was Jin's way of creating an alternate story with a happy ending based on HYYH. This has heightened the anticipation of the album's global release which is scheduled for November 15, 2024.

In other news, BTS' Namjoon, Suga, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook are currently serving in the South Korean military and will return in June 2025. J-hope was discharged from the military on October 17, 2024.
