On January 11, 2025, renowned South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo was lauded for her compassionate support toward her stylist during a personal family crisis. Maeil Business Newspaper reported that the stylist revealed that The Glory actress provided substantial financial assistance, accompanied by an apology for not being able to offer in-person support.

According to the translation provided by the official media account, @kdramahandle, the stylist said:

"When I was really young, around 22 or 23, I was struggling. I wasn’t earning much money, didn’t have any savings, and was living in a goshiwon. One day, I got a call while working that my mom was seriously ill. I thought, 'I can’t keep working; I need to go home and help my mom and family.' So, I hurriedly left for my hometown without even informing her."

The stylist added:

"But then, an unimaginable amount of money was suddenly deposited into my account. When I asked the manager about it, he told me, 'Hye-kyo asked me to send it to you.' It wasn’t the money itself that mattered the most—it was what Hye-kyo unnie told me back then."

Song Hye-kyo's stylist further narrated how he became emotional after seeing the actress's sincere gesture.

"She said, 'I’m so sorry that all I can give you right now is money. I wish I could be there with you. I’m sorry I can’t be by your side during such a hard time.' I cried so much when I heard that."
