GOT7 fans were excited to learn that the members regained control of their original social media accounts, on Monday, January 6, 2025. This signaled a significant step toward their highly anticipated comeback. Additionally, the day they got back their accounts coincided with the group leader JAY B's birthday.
Ahgases (the group's fanbases) highlighted the significance of the band members reclaiming their social media accounts from JYP Entertainment as none of the members are under the agency anymore. They parted ways with JYP Entertainment in 2021 but faced challenges accessing the social media accounts created while they were with the agency.
They created new accounts to maintain communication with fans and promote their independent projects. However, the accounts were dormant due to the group's departure from JYP and the members' solo endeavors.
The recent restoration of their original accounts, including the Instagram handle @got7.with.igot7, marked a pivotal moment in re-establishing their digital presence. In an Instagram story, they shared the usernames of their other official accounts on platforms including X, YouTube, and TikTok.
As soon as Ahgases learned about the group regaining access to their original accounts, they took to social media to express joy. One fan even tweeted:
"In jaebeom we trust."
Fans were excited about the revival of the group's official social media accounts as it fueled anticipation of what else the group had in store for their fans. Meanwhile, some Ahgases said that getting back the group's Instagram handle "means a lot" because JAY B was the one who suggested the name.
"A reminder that JAY B was the one who suggested the got7.with.igot7 username for GOT7 so it means a lot to actually get it back. And regained control on his birthday, best leader," one fan said.
"4 years for they won control of GOT7 and we still have to see people saying that ex company gave... if it had, it would have happened in 2021 no in 2025 (they trademark JB stage name). JAY B saying he was trying and organizing everything, best leader at k-pop industry," a fan wrote.
"Jaebeom really did it, once again he is the best leader, they got the account back and immediately uploaded the new visual identity, they are serious got7 is so back," another fan remarked.
Fans praised JAY B's leadership and dedication to the group's success. They recalled how he fought against JYP Entertainment for his group and members' rights.
"Y'all can't understand but i need you to praise jaebeom's efforts because this man fought for the rights of got7 as a group, the name, the songs, the subunits EVERYTHING, and now he fights for the sns accounts, this is very important for him and the guys," one fan stated.
We always proud.... How brave GOT7 members are, we will fall in love again and again Our spectacular leader, Im jaebeom-ssi," another fan added.
"No other kpop group has put a fight as strong as got7 against their company and won this is really for the history books," one other fan emphasized.
