Rosé returns to South Korea to a massive airport crowd as new hit APT. shatters global records

Rosé recently returned to South Korea, drawing significant attention at the airport. Large crowds gathered to welcome her, holding banners and cheering as she passed through. Fans showed strong support, celebrating her recent successes.

Her new song, APT., has gained major global recognition, boosting her visibility as a solo artist. Released on October 18, 2024, APT. is a collaboration with American artist Bruno Mars. It serves as the lead single for her upcoming debut album, Rosie (2024).

It topped the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts for two consecutive weeks. This marks both artists' second number-one hit on these charts. In South Korea, APT. earned a "perfect all-kill," reaching the top spot on the Circle Digital Chart—a first for both singers.

The song also claimed the number-one position in several regions, including New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the MENA region, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan. In the US, it reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Rosé the first female K-pop soloist to break into the top 10 on both the Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart.

On November 9, 2024, the APT. music video surpassed 300 million views within just 22 days, 6 hours, and 30 minutes. This set a new record, becoming the fastest music video of 2024 to reach this view count across all genres. APT. also broke a K-pop soloist record on YouTube, surpassing PSY’s Gentleman, which took 25 days to reach 300 million views.

Released under The Black Label and Atlantic Records, APT. marks Rosé's first solo project in three years. This release follows her departure from YG Entertainment and Interscope Records in 2023. The song was crafted by several writers and composers, including both singers. Its sound blends pop, pop-punk, and pop rock, with indie rock and electropop elements adding unique layers.

The idol's debut solo album, Rosie, is set for release on December 6, 2024. The album features 12 tracks, with Rosé co-writing each one. She describes the album as a deeply honest reflection of herself, sharing raw, genuine emotions throughout.
