The global music K-pop community was abuzz with excitement following the unexpected appearance of BTS' j-hope's alleged 2025 U.S. tour dates on Ticketmaster. While official channels have yet to confirm these dates, the listings ignited widespread speculation about the artist's post-military service activities and potential new projects.

On January 8, 2025, fans noticed that Ticketmaster briefly displayed a series of U.S. tour dates for j-hope, scheduled for March 2025. The dates included performances at venues such as the Barclays Center in New York and the United Center in Chicago.

The dates and venues leaked were as follows:

  • March 13 — New York, NY, Barclays Center

Although the listings were quickly removed from Ticketmaster, they sparked widespread discussion on social media. With j-hope's military service completed, fans are eagerly anticipating his return to music, including a potential U.S. tour and a solo album in 2025.

Fans were excited about a possible solo world tour in the first half of 2025, but the lack of an official announcement and the removal of the dates left the BTS ARMY uncertain.

One fan wrote on X:

"IS THIS TRUE!!!? SAN ANTONIO!!!! THAT'S ME!!!!"

Some fans expressed skepticism, noting the absence of official announcements from BIGHIT MUSIC or j-hope himself.

"Just saw it. And they just removed it. I think someone messed up and gave up the surprise," one fan wrote.
"CAN WE JUST WAIT TO OFFICAL ANNOUNCEMENT," another fan wrote.
"Does jhope know about this?! jk but seriously waiting for the official announcement to come from trusted sources: @/bts_bighit and:or hobi himself." one other fan stated.

Others speculated that the premature posting might indicate an imminent official tour announcement.

"I'm really hoping these dates are wrong cuz there ain't ONE weekend in here lmao pleaseee Hobi, we got jobssssss!!!!!!" one fan noted.
"Yikes!!!! Can we not even wait for an official announcement. This was leaked." another fan claimed.
"Sorry I’m lost! Where did this come from? I didn’t see a notification!!" a fan remarked.

BTS' j-hope's anticipation for a new solo album in 2025 while reflecting on his previous solitary releases

Adding to the excitement reports from The Korea Times suggested j-hope prepping to release a new solo album in the first half of 2025.

Korean media outlets have indicated that this release could precede BTS' anticipated group comeback later in the year. However, on January 6, 2025, the Arson rapper-songwriter took to Weverse and wrote:

“Everyone may have experienced their own joys and sorrows this past year, but I hope we can take a moment to reflect warmly on 2024. For 2025, I wish for everyone to bloom beautifully. For me, it feels like 2025 will be a very important year, something I can sense deeply in nature. I will show you many things.”

While BIGHIT MUSIC has not confirmed these reports, fans have been eagerly awaiting further details.

Meanwhile, j-hope's previous solo endeavor, Jack in The Box, was released on July 15, 2022. The album showcased a darker and more introspective side of the artist, exploring themes of ambition, self-doubt, and personal growth.

Tracks like Arson and More delved into the struggles of pursuing one's dreams while grappling with the pressures of fame. The album was lauded for its experimental sound and candid lyricism, marking a significant departure from his earlier, more upbeat solo work like Chicken Noodle Soup and Hope World.

In 2022, the NEURON rapper made history as the first K-pop artist to headline Lollapalooza in front of over 100,000 spectators—a first in the history of the music festival.

Following this achievement, he continued to engage with fans through various projects, including the release of On the Street (feat. J. Cole) on March 3, 2023. On March 29, 2024, he released his second solo album, Hope on the Street Vol. 1, consisting of six tracks.

This project was closely linked to a docu-series by the same name, that was released a day before on Prime Video on March 28, 2024. The six-episode series provided an intimate look into his artistic journey from a teenage dancer from Gwangju to debuting as one of the seven members of Grammy-nominated K-pop group, BTS.

Furthermore, in adherence to South Korea's mandatory military service requirements, j-hope enlisted on April 18, 2023. He served as an active-duty soldier and was discharged on October 17, 2024.

While the leaked tour dates and album rumors have generated significant excitement, it is important to note that official confirmations from j-hope or BIGHIT MUSIC are still pending. Fans are advised to await formal announcements for information regarding his upcoming activities.
