1) BLACKPINK
In 2019, BLACKPINK achieved a historic milestone as the first K-pop girl group to perform at Coachella. Their first appearance featured 13 songs in a set that lasted 50 minutes.
BLACKPINK made another Coachella history in 2023 by becoming the first K-pop group to headline the festival. Each member was given an opportunity to perform solo and their individual hits, including You And Me, Flower, On the Ground, and Money.
2) ATEEZ
Coachella 2024 featured several K-pop acts on the main stage, with ATEEZ being one of the most talked about groups at the event. The group’s fans, collectively known as Atiny, ensured the boy group trended on X and other social media platforms during their performance.
The seven-member boy group took to the Sahara stage on April 12, 2024, and kicked off their debut performance with their hit song, Say My Name, followed by Hala Hala, Guerilla - Flag version, Crazy Form, Rocky, Arriba, and more.
3) LE SSERAFIM
The LE SSERAFIM made history at the 2024 Coachella Festival in April as the fastest K-pop group to perform at the famous festival. Despite celebrating only their second anniversary, they left a lasting impression on the Coachella Valley audience.
Joined by a live band, the five-girl group entertained attendees with hit songs like Good Bones, Antifragile, Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s Wife, and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, amongst others.
4) Aespa
Aespa, the fourth-generation K-pop girl group, made their Coachella debut in April 2022, during the second week of the music festival. The group, consisting of Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning, rocked the stage with hit songs Aenergy, Black Mamba, Next Level, and Savage. At the event headlined by Billie Eilish, the group surprised fans with the performance of an unreleased track, Life’s Too Short.
The K-pop idols proved to fans and followers that they could perform live on a demanding stage like Coachella, blending smooth vocals with good choreography.
5) Jackson Wang
Jackson Wang, a member of the K-pop boy group GOT 7, made an appearance at the Coachella Festival 2022. The K-pop idol became the first musician of Chinese descent to perform on the main stage. In 2023, the singer and performer made another appearance at Coachella, cementing his record for the second consecutive time.
The 30-year-old singer, together with Ciara, performed a remix of XG’s Left and Right and finished off with a dance break during his Magic Man moment.
6) Epik High
Epik High, the Korean group consisting of Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz, performed at Coachella 2016. Their appearance took place on the third day of the event, which was headlined by Calvin Harris and Sia, amongst others. Additionally, they performed alongside international acts like Cold War Kids, Thomas Jack, and Pete Yorn, among others.
Epik High is officially the first K-pop group to perform in Coachella. At the festival, they performed some of their popular songs, like Born Hater and Kill This Love.
7) DPR LIVE and DPR IAN
Rapper Hong Dabin, a.k.a. DPR LIVE, and Christian Yu, known as DPR IAN of Dream Perfect Regime, made their debut at the Coachella Festival in 2023. The duo closed out Coachella on the Gobi stage on April 16, which was headlined by Frank Ocean. The duo performed hit songs for a hyped crowd.
The stage was set by DPR LIVE, who performed six songs and was later joined by DPR IAN for their collaborative performance of No Blueberries and Boom. DPR IAN signed out by performing six songs solo.
