A Hundred Memories: A nostalgic tale of friendship, first love, and youth in the 1980s

A Hundred Memories is a nostalgic 1980s youth melodrama that centers on the lives of two women and their shared first love. The story follows Go Young-rye and Seo Jong-hee, two bus attendants working at Cheong-A Transportation. The drama explores their friendship, their personal struggles, and the bittersweet love they share with Han Jae-pil, a man destined to shape their fates.

The drama captures the vibrancy, growth, and humanity of youth during a challenging yet hopeful era. Through moments of laughter, heartbreak, and nostalgia, A Hundred Memories aims to depict the unforgettable memories of a generation that shone brightly despite humble and difficult times.

Kim Da-mi stars as Go Young-rye, a dedicated bus conductor of Cheong-A Transportation's Bus No. 100. She struggles with motion sickness but works tirelessly to support her family, while her ultimate goal is to attend university. Young-rye is diligent, bright, and empathetic but also has a fierce side. She relentlessly pursues fare evaders, earning the nickname “Secret Crazy Girl.”

Shin Ye-eun plays Seo Jong-hee, a lively, charismatic, confident, and ambitious bus conductor at Cheong-A Transportation, much like Young-rye. She builds a deep friendship with Young-rye after meeting her during a vulnerable period. Jong-hee comes from a challenging family background and dreams of escaping it.

Heo Nam-jun portrays Han Jae-pil, the first love of Young-rye and Jong-hee. With his polished demeanor and 'prince charming' persona, he captures the attention of both women. However, beneath his perfect exterior lies a young man grappling with emotional wounds. As the shared first love of Young-rye and Jong-hee, Jae-pil creates a complex dynamic that tests their love and friendship.

The drama is written by Yang Hee-seung, known for Crash Course in Romance and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo. Furthermore, it is directed by Kim Sang-ho, who helmed Thirty-Nine. The team aims to create a nostalgic series that resonates with both older and younger generations, as reported by Chosun Biz on January 9, 2025.

As per the South Korean media outlet, the production team described the series to saying,

"Trendy youth actors Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-joon, whom you can trust and watch, have come together for 'A Hundred Memories.' They will load up on bright and cheerful youth fuel and take viewers on a 1980s youth train... We will come up with a work that both the middle-aged generation who lived through that era and the youth who are living in this era can laugh and cry together. Please look forward to it."
