Love Scout, starring Lee Jun-hyuk, Han Ji-min, Kim Do-hoon, and others, aired episodes 3 and 4 on January 10 and 11, respectively, on SBS. In episode 3, it was revealed CEO Lee Yong-hoon was fired from Career Way, where Kang Ji-yun (Han Ji-min) used to work.
This dismissal occurred because Career Way became a victim of a paper company and investment fraud. Kang Ji-yun learned that a party from Career Way was involved and requested an investigation. She soon learned that Lee Yong-hoon had committed suicide.
Kim Hye-jin, Kang Ji-yun's former mentor from Career Way, blamed Kang Ji-yun for his death. In response, Kang Ji-yun resigned and went independent with Peoplez, while Kim Hye-jin became the new CEO of Career Way.

During episode 3 of Love Scout, Yu Byeol and Kang Ji-yun met at a bookstore. Yu Byeol was trying to reach for a book on the shelf when Kang Ji-yun took it first. Yu Byeol asked her to hand over the book, but Kang Ji-yun refused, explaining it was a book for adults.
Kang Ji-yun told Yu Byeol that she couldn't even read Korean and asked her to read the title. Yu Byeol couldn't read it, Kang Ji-yun expressed her hope that by their next meeting, Yu Byeol would know how to read.
Kang Ji-yun left the book with Yu Byeol, knowing she couldn't read. Yu Byeol then asked Jung Soo-hyun (Kim Yoon-hye) to read the book's title. As she read it, Yu Byeol felt embarrassed and took it as a challenge to learn Korean.
Love Scout ep 3-4 recap: Kang Ji-yun notices Yu Eun-ho's seamless work while not overstepping
In Love Scout episode 3, Kang Ji-yun took Yu Eun-ho to tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) and could not stop laughing as he struggled to match the highest level of spice. At work, Kang Ji-yun discovered a promising candidate for a star chef position at a new restaurant, Han Jeong-woo (Heo Joon-seok).
Han Jeong-woo was the perfect fit for the job, but he had a condition, he wanted to bring his sous chef, Yu Hye-in (Park Yoo-rim), with him. Rumors circulated that the two were dating, and it seemed he favored her due to their alleged relationship. However, the truth was that Han Jeong-woo had undergone hand surgery, a fact known only to Yu Hye-in. She assisted him and planned to continue doing so.
As Kang Ji-yun informed the restaurant about Han Jeong-woo's condition, they were ready to hire him without his sous chef. This decision shocked Yu Hye-in, who felt betrayed because he had promised her that she would work under him. Despite her passion for cooking, she was frightened of the kitchen due to past bullying from her colleagues.
Later, Yu Byeol was seen waiting for Kang Ji-yun at the bookstore. When she saw her entering the store, she ran towards her. Yu Byeol read the title of the book Kang Ji-yun was holding and received a compliment. She then read a heartwarming poem for Kang Ji-yun, which comforted her.
By the end of Love Scout episode 3, Kang Ji-yun picked Yu Hye-in as her new candidate and offered her a position as a food researcher. This role would allow her to stay away from the kitchen while still pursuing her love for cooking.
In episode 4 of Love Scout, after their meeting with Yu Hye-in, Kang Ji-yun and Yu Eun-ho were walking toward the car when it suddenly started pouring. Yu Eun-ho pulled out his Pinkfong umbrella, which made Kang Ji-yun laugh. They ran to a convenience store, where Kang Ji-yun saw children having instant tteokbokki and ramen.
Noticing her interest, Yu Eun-ho quickly made some for her. During lunch, Kang Ji-yun searched for a hair band, and Yu Eun-ho pulled out one from the inside pocket of his blazer. After lunch, he ran outside in the rain to fetch the car, leaving the umbrella for her.
In this episode of Love Scout, Kang Ji-yun learned that Kim Hye-jin was establishing an academy in honor of the late CEO Lee Yong-hoon. Initially uninterested in participating, she changed her mind after learning about the academy. Kang Ji-yun and Yu Eun-ho met Kim Hye-jin, who did not leave any room for discouraging Kang Ji-yun.
Kang Ji-yun agreed to work for the academy but asked Kim Hye-jin to leave CEO Lee Yong-hoon's name; only then would she step aside from the project. Kim Hye-jin mentioned that she would be meeting CEO Lee's son on the weekend and sarcastically asked Kanh Ji-yun to join.
This left her in distress. Kim Hye-jin further told her to not make such an expression because it became obvious that CEO Lee committed suicide because of her. Yu Eun-ho overheard their conversation as he stood beside them.
To help clear her head, Yu Eun-ho took Kang Ji-yun for a walk. While walking, they saw kids playing basketball, and Yu Eun-ho suggested they join in. The two ended up playing a game with the kids.
Later in Love Scout episode 4, Kang Ji-yun was invited to dinner at director Oh Chul-yong's house, where Woo Jeon-hoon was also present. Oh Chul-yong suggested that she should get into a relationship with Woo Jeon-hoon. However, she doesn't respond.
At work, Kim Young-soo (Heo Dong-won) and Oh Gyeong-hwa (Seo Hye-won) got into an argument, creating an awkward situation. To help mend their relationship, Seo Mi-ae (Lee Sang-hee), Kang Ji-yun, and Woo Jeong-hoon decided to throw a party and help Kim Young-soo and Oh Gyeong-hwa to reconcile by organizing a welcome party for her new secretary, Yu Eun-ho. Although she agreed to the party, she stated that she would not attend.
During the first round of dinner and drinks, Kim Young-soo and Oh Gyeong-hwa made up. Yu Eun-ho texted Kang Ji-yun to invite her if she changed her mind. Initially hesitant, Kang Ji-yun reached before the second round held karaoke. She drank alcohol with most of her employees at the karaoke.
By the end of Love Scout episode 4, Kang Ji-yun returned to her office in a drunken state and fell asleep. Meanwhile, Yu Eun-ho followed her as he worried about her. He tried to wake her up, but she was in a deep sleep. When she woke up, she saw him sitting near her feet.
She approached him as episode 4 of Love Scout ended on a cliffhanger. It is yet to be seen whether they kiss in Love Scout episode 5, which is scheduled for release on Friday, January 17, 2025, on SBS and Rakuten Viki.
