Love Your Enemy's fourth episode begins with Yoon Jiwon accidentally falling into the pond and Seok Jiwon jumping into it to save her. It turns out to be a hilarious scene as the pond turns out to be shallow.
At school, Seok informs others that he has canceled the third-party contractors for his inauguration ceremony as Yoon Jiwon has taken up that responsibility. He asks her to report him daily. He goes to inspect the gymnasium where the ceremony will be held.
He observed the leaking roof and decided to inspect it. As he climbs the ladder, a student's ball hits it, making him lose his balance. In classic rom-com fashion, he falls on top of Yoon Jiwon.
Seok meets his father who has planned to take over the role of the school's chairman after the inauguration ceremony. He wanted to let Soek Jiwon be the chairman till the inauguration so it could boost their family image and humiliate the Yoons.
The trainee gym teacher Gong Mun-su and Yoon Jiwon are revealed to have met each other before when they were young. Both of them were admitted to psychiatric care due to mental trauma.
Yoon Jiwon's sorrowful past is relayed wherein after college when she got her dream job, she realized one of her colleagues was getting s*xually harassed.
She decided to support her colleague against the company's management. Later, the colleague took back her case which made Yoon the villain. The company charged her with a defamation case and completely ruined her reputation.
Along with this, she also lost both her parents in a car accident. On the day of their funeral, she found out that her father had embezzled money from his own company and her grandfather's foundation, making her the center of another town's gossip. She also earned for Seok Jiwon.
The young Gong Mun-su was in the psychiatric unit because of a physical injury that ruined his promising swimming career. Both of them met at the rooftop of the hospital, where they were planning to take their own lives. However, they delay their plan and end up talking while sitting on the edge of the roof.
As they plan to jump again, Gong Mun-su chugs a whole can of beer and becomes unconscious. This leads both of them to lose balance. However, they are pulled back forcefully by someone.
However, none of them remembers who it was. In the epilogue of Love Your Enemy's fourth episode, Seok Jiwon is revealed to have been the one who pulled them back.
In the morning, Seok heads over to Yoon's house when he realizes that his father has gone to personally invite Yoon's grandfather to the inauguration ceremony. However, to his surprise, he sees Gong Mun-su at her house, who has stayed there as he missed his bus to his home. This information keeps troubling Seok throughout the day.
On the day of the inauguration ceremony, everyone is shocked as the venue is suddenly changed from the gymnasium to the school ground with winds and dust. He also sends the forty-some town people, whom his father invited to a vacation. He calls the media to publish articles and photographs of his chairmanship to discourage his father from taking his place in the school.
The ceremony goes against all that Seok's father had hoped for. He is not able to give a speech as Seok Jiwon makes his own speech extremely lengthy and boring, which tests the students' patience.
In the concluding scene of Love Your Enemy, Seok Jiwon arrives at the school housing Yoon Jiwon and her grandfather stays along with Gong Mun-su, who was offered a place there due to his long commute. With all his bags packed, Seok Jiwon moves into the same house as Yoon Jiwon.
