Love Your Enemy episode 6 recap: Gong Mun-su confesses his feelings to Yun Ji-won
Episode 6 of Love Your Enemy begins with Yun Ji-won and Seok Ji-won sharing a kiss. In a state of unconsciousness due to his fever, Seok pulls Yun close and kisses her. However, the moment is interrupted by Yun's grandfather.
The next day, Seok has no recollection of the kiss, which irritates Yun, as she has been thinking about it all night. Consequently, Yun begins avoiding Seok, leaving him to question her.
At school, a student in Yun's class faints with a bleeding nose and is taken to the medical room, where the school nurse, Mr. Hong, attends her. Earlier episodes showed that this particular student frequently visits Mr. Hong. As she rests on the bed, Mr. Hong caresses her face and hair as if they are in a very close relationship.
Cha Ji-hye meets up with Seok and apologizes for getting upset during their last conversation. She tells him that she does not want to burden him with her feelings and would like them to go back to being friends.
Yun agrees to help another teacher by attending a teachers' training program in Seoul. Ji-hye is also selected to attend the program. However, Gong Mun-su tags along with them for fun, and the three make plans to go together. However, upon seeing Seok getting in his car, Ji-hye informs Yun that she will be going to Seoul separately. She takes a lift from Seok but does not tell Yun about this information.
Mun-su and Yun miss their bus to Seoul, and as Seok passes them, they have no choice but to join him and Ji-hye. Upon reaching Seoul, Seok tells Yun that he will call them by 10 at night and will drop them back.
Moments from 18 years ago repeat themselves when Seok calls on Yun's phone, Ji-hye keeps rejecting his call before eventually shutting off her phone. She makes up an excuse and leaves the place early, leaving Mun-su and Yun behind. She secretly takes Yun's phone with her.
Gong Mun-su and Yun roam around in Seoul, and while eating ramyeon, he confesses to her. He admits that although he hadn't thought about her much over the years, seeing her again made him realize how much he missed her. Mun-su also tells her that while he knows that her mind is not thinking about her now, things can change from now on since he has confessed.
Yun is left speechless. After a while, Mun-su departs due to growing awkwardness between Yun and him. Without her phone, Yun decides to wait at the bus station while Seok waits for her at the training center. This brings back the painful memories from 18 years ago.
They both end up going back to their home alone. However, as soon as Yun reaches school, she begins running while thinking about Mun-su's confession. She falls down, and Seok rushes to help her up.
While walking back to their accommodation, Yun asks Seok why he wishes to date her. He replies that he wants to date her only so he can mercilessly break up with her. This gets Yun riled up, leading to yet another argument between them as episode 6 of Love Your Enemy ends with lilac petals falling around them, indicating the blossoming of the school's lilac tree.
Love Your Enemy episode 6 featured a cameo by Korean rapper-singer 10CM singing the show's OST, Be in love. New episodes air every Saturday and Sunday on the tvN network, with episodes 7 and 8 expected to release on December 14 and 15.
