Male K-pop idols have not just graced fashion magazine covers but have been appointed as ambassadors/faces of top luxury brands like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, and Celine, amongst others.

1) Jeno of NCT for Peter Do at New York Fashion Week

NCT's Jeno was the talk of the New York Fashion Week in 2022. The 24-year-old rapper, singer, and dancer of the Korean boy group NCT made history as the first K-pop idol to open a fashion week show.

Jeno opened the Spring/Summer show for Vietnamese designer Peter Do. The show, dubbed 'Time,' featured the star in a deconstructed black suit set.

Jeno’s ensemble consisted of blazers atop a white shirt, satin pants, and heeled boots. The design also featured strategically placed openings on the side, a dramatic cutout at the back, and a ribbon closure.


2) Rowoon of SF9 for Sewing Boundaries at Seoul Fashion Week

The multi-talented member of the K-pop boy group SF9 made his runway debut for Sewing Boundaries at the F/W Seoul Fashion Week in 2017. The male K-pop idol hit the runway again in 2019 for the Spring/Summer collection of the same brand.

In 2017, the actor and singer walked the runway in a check-patterned coat worn atop a black turtleneck jacket and matching black slacks. Touches of red could be seen on his shirt and his casual sneakers.


3) Mino of Winner for Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week

The rapper and artiste of the popular boy group Winner graced the runway for Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer Fashion Show 2020, held at the Place Dauphin during Paris Fashion Week 2019. The singer rocked a grey suit with pastel-colored slacks and a bright pink scarf.

The K-pop idol strutted confidently with other celebrity models like Malik Bodian and Dev Hynes. Minno of Winner blazed the trail as the first K-pop idol to walk for Louis Vuitton.


4) Felix of Stray Kids for Louis Vuitton

Felix of Stray Kids appeared on the runway for the first time at the Louis Vuitton Womenswear Fall/Winter 2024/2025 show in Paris. The Australian rapper and singer wore designs by Nicholas Ghesquiere.

These outfits comprised a white turtleneck with dramatic sleeves and square-shaped designs paired with metallic silver pants. Felix of Stray Kids finished the look with a platinum blonde hairstyle and a black bag as an accessory.


5) Shownu of MONSTA X for Concept Korea for New York Fashion Week

The group leader and vocalist of the popular K-Pop boy group MONSTA X made his runway debut at the New York Fashion Week in February 2024. As an ambassador for the Concept Korea fashion season, the 32-year-old modeled designs from designers like MMAM, CHARM’s, and KIMMY.J.

The male K-pop idol opened the show wearing a deconstructed and cropped blazer from MMAM. He came out for CHARM’s wearing a fur-trimmed leather jacket and a sweeper. He closed the show with KIMMY J designs, a fur-trimmed hood, and puffer jackets.


Other male K-pop idols who have appeared on fashion runways include BM for BOSS and Russel Athletic in 2021 and Cha Eun-woo for JO Chun-hee in Seoul Fashion Week 2020, amongst others. The appearance of these male K-pop idols on major runways showcases the influence of Korean entertainment on mainstream fashion.
