MBC drops trailer for 2024 MBC Drama Awards, stirring anticipation among fans

On December 11, MBC released its official trailers for the 2024 MBC Drama Awards which is to be held on December 30, 2024. One of the trailers starred Wonderful World's actor Cha Eunwoo, who promoted the awards and expressed excitement about it.

The trailer has created a buzz among the netizens who have been waiting for their favorite MBC shows and actors to be awarded at the ceremony. While complementing Cha Eunwoo's performance in the Wonderful World, a fan stated:

The Korean broadcasting network, MBC, has had a thrilling year with dramas across various genres. MBC's year began with Lee Han-ee and Lee Jong-won starring Knight Flower, which aired from January 12 to February 17, 2024.

The show ended with an average TV viewership rating of 11.8% nationwide. Lee Han-ee also won the Best Actress award for the show at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

In March 2024, MBC rolled out Cha Eun-woo and Kim Nam-joo starter Wonderful World which explores the themes of grief, guilt, and redemption. It ended on April 13 with an average viewership rating of 8.4% in South Korea. Cha Eun-woo bagged the Best Actor (Half Year) award at the Blue Dragon Awards for the show.

In the fourth month, MBC aired a crime-detective series Chief Detective 1958 which was presented as the prequel of the series Chief Inspector. It included actors such as Lee Je-hoo, Lee Dong-hwi, Choi Woo-sun, and Yoon Hyun-soo. It was scheduled from April 19 to May 18, 2024.

In May, The Brave Yong Su-jeong and Kim Hee-sun starring Bitter Sweet Hell aired. From July to August, the broadcasting network premiered shows with varying genres such as the comedy series The Pork Cutlets and the mystery-thriller Black Out starring Byun Yo-han.

In October, a psychological thriller, Doubt premiered with Han Suk-kyu and Chae Won-bin as the main leads. The series concluded on November 15, with an average nationwide rating of 6.4%.
