On August 3 and 4, the final episodes of Miss Night and Day aired on the JBTC TV network at 21:40 KST, and on Netflix. This romantic thriller K-drama featured Choi Jin-hyuk, Lee Jung-eun, and Jung Eun-ji in the leading roles.

The story revolves around a young woman named Lee Mi-jin (Jung Eun-ji), who transforms into a 50-year-old female named Lim-sun (Lee Jung-eun). At night, the protagonist changes back into her younger self as part of a curse.

Gye Ji-ung (Choi Jin-hyuk), a prosecutor investigating a murder mystery, becomes romantically involved with Mi-jin.

In the finale episodes of Miss Night and Day, the real culprit behind the murders, Gong Eun-sim, is finally caught after 20 years. Ji-ung learns about Mi-jin’s curse and in the end, the two reunite. The happy ending for Ji-ung and Mi-jin means there's no way for the show to return for a second season.

Miss Night and Day is a dramatic thriller about a romance that boosts serotonin levels

After her hit Korean drama, Reply 1997 (aired in 2012), Jung Eun-ji appeared in a few other K-Dramas that failed to leave an indelible mark on viewers. But with her impressive performance in the newly released Miss Night and Day K-drama, the actress is gaining more attention.

Also, it goes without saying that Lee Jung-eun, who plays Jung Eun-ji's older self, Lim-sun, makes her part in the show even more important. Lee Jung-eun's acting makes it so much more humorous and engaging, which brings out some comical moments in the show.

Choi Ju-hyuk, who plays prosecutor Gye Ji-ung in Miss Night and Day, seems annoying at the start of the show. As he falls in love with Mi-jin, this slowly changes. Their cute relationship, which starts to grow out of the blue, is also interesting.

Although romance is just one part of the series, the events of the murder mystery and its investigation are equally gripping. Mi-jin and Gye Ji-ung do a great job of chasing the killer while keeping Ji-ung in the dark about her secret curse of changing into an older Lim-sun.

As such, supernatural stories have been a strong point for K-drama makers in the past; therefore, Miss Night and Day seems no different. Viewers are likely to be engrossed throughout the show because of the supernatural elements that are packed into the investigation of a murder mystery.

Additionally, other elements of the show, like the friendship between Mi-jin and Ga-yeong and the chemistry between Mi-jin and Ko Won, don’t seem boring to watch.

Watching Miss Night and Day can satisfy your cravings for a murder mystery with a touch of romance. Therefore, it’s a decent watch and available on Netflix.
