Episode 7: Baek Young-ok gets suspicious about Song Jae-hoon
Episode 6 of My Military Valentine ended with both Young-ok and Lloyd start brawling over an argument about Song-i. In the next episode, the unit found them on the floor with Young-ok having the upper hand. Angry, Lloyd handed over Song-i's jacket to Young-ok and she left.
Young-ok submitted the jacket to the vice commissioner, her superior, who ordered her to take a few days off and rest. Vice Commissioner Lee, on the other hand, invited Lloyd to a garden party. However, he was not interested.
Worried about Song-i, Lloyd approached Jee-hi to help him find more information about her. Jee-hi revealed to him that Song-i was a hacker and she could give better information if he agreed to attend a fundraising party with her. Though reluctant at first, Lloyd complied.
Mi-rae, who turned out to be a FITA fan, bumped into Jae-hoon while on her way to Young-ok and he helped her find her way. In their home, Mi-rae reminisced about their parents with Young-ok. She was revealed to be Mi-rae's sister, not her mother.
It was also revealed that Lloyd had a chip he found in Song-i's jacket. Back in town, Young-ok confronted Jae-hoon about faking his death after receiving intel about it.
While on his way, Lloyd bumped into Young-ok who found out that he was on his way to the party. While looking through Digital Forensic Statements files, Young-ok found mention of the party in Song-i's files. She recalled her grandmother mentioning that Jae-hoon would be present at the party as well, arousing more suspicion.
Worried about Lloyd, Young-ok reached the party but was not let in since she was not dressed for the occasion. Jee-hi introduced Lloyd to her mother, the mayor. Lloyd's manager helped Young-ok get ready and into the party. As she walked in wearing a gown, Lloyd was left dumbfounded. He told her she looked pretty, but then Jee-hi approached them and took Lloyd away.
Just as Jae-hoon approached Young-ok, Lloyd took her away to play a couples' game that he needed to win to be able to donate to the Children's Heart Foundation. He was successful in picking her and doing the Limbo.
At the party, Jae-hoon received a suitcase of money and was told to finish his work in two weeks. After complimenting Young-ok again, Lloyd leaned in to kiss her but Jae-hoon appeared and pulled her away. When he asked whether she considered him to be on her side or not, she got up and left.
As Lloyd started his speech, gunshots were fired and Young-ok and Lloyd ran toward each other in episode 7 of My Military Valentine.
Episode 8: Baek Young-ok finds Song Jae-hoon to be Violet's leader
Episode 8 of My Military Valentine started with the two running towards each other. Lloyd was shot in his arm. Jae-hoon, on the other hand, tried to help Seung-tae escape in his car, but Young-ok followed them to his basement. Lloyd chased after them in Jee-hi's car. In the basement, Seung-tae escaped as Jae-hoon distracted Young-ok.
While discussing with the mayor, the North Korean representative Vice Commissioner Park admitted that the terrorists were his comrades from the anti-ROK operation. He also said they decided to prioritize "Shadow," their leader, and keep the incident from the media.
As seen in My Military Valentine episode 8, Jee-hi met Lloyd, who promised to get her a new car. Jee-hi revealed that Song-i was in the North Korean hackers unit. Without any parents to protect her, she was sent to Russia to study.
In a flashback, Young-ok confronted Jae-hoon, who felt betrayed that the Republic had disposed of loyal North Korean soldiers. Hence, Young-ok decided not to reveal Jae-hoon's identity to Vice Commissioner Park. She visited her sister, who showed her videos of Lloyd and told her how he would be her type. Young-ok promised to protect her.
Lloyd sneaked into Jae-hoon's basement and overheard Young-ok and Jae-hoon conversing. Jae-hoon tried to convince Young-ok to change sides and promised to help with her sister's surgery, but she refused. Back in the unit, both Young-ok and Lloyd dreamt of kissing each other and woke up astonished.
When Vice Commissioner Lee granted Lloyd an overnight pass to meet his parents who were in town, he refused but asked to see Song-i instead. Young-ok, on the other hand, sneakily watched the clips of both vice commissioners interrogating the terrorists separately. As Lloyd went to visit Song-i, one of the terrorists escaped with the person working undercover as Violet's member.
Young-ok left to follow them despite Lloyd's concerns. The unit was ready to be dispatched, but Lloyd was called to the control tower to be safe. However, he left to follow Young-ok under the pretense of meeting his parents.
In episode 8 of My Military Valentine, Jae-hoon called his terrorists to the meeting point and shot the undercover agent after handing a bag of money to the terrorists. The unit chased Jae-hoon, but he escaped since Young-ok acted as a sniper, targeting the unit but making sure no real injury was inflicted. Lloyd found her and asked for an answer, but she refused.
Finding the disappearance of Young-ok odd, Vice Commissioner Park decided to arrest her but Lloyd barged in and took her away. Episode 8 of My Military Valentine concluded here.
