My Sweet Mobster episode 7 recap: Did Han Sun-hwa discover that Uhm Tae-goo was the boy from her childhood?

My Sweet Mobster's episode 7 was released on July 3, 2024, and opens with Ji-hwan (Uhm Tae-goo) and Eun-ha (Han Sun-hwa) huddled together in the locked cold storage to stay warm. In the previous episode, they both got accidentally locked inside a freezer at Ji-hwan's meat packaging company.

Ji-hwan's employees—Man-ho and the others—eventually find the keys and open the freezer's door. However, Eun-ha has already passed out from the cold. Ji-hwan carries her out and they take her to the hospital. He anxiously waits by Eun-ha's bed in the hospital till she wakes up.

Meanwhile, Man-ho, Dong-hui, Hong-ki, and Jae-soo wait outside the hospital ward. They enter as soon as Eun-ha wakes up and Ji-hwan chastises the group for being reckless and accidentally sending Eun-ha to the freezer's location. Man-ho starts crying and Eun-ha tries to stop Ji-hwan and tells him that it was her fault for looking for packaging supplies in the wrong spot.

By the end of episode 7, Ji-hwan realizes that the boy Eun-ha met when she was a kid and has been searching for is him. Meanwhile, Eun-ha is shocked to see Ji-hwan holding the time capsule she made with the boy she met as a kid, and the episode wraps up.

My Sweet Mobster's episode 7 shows Eun-ha developing feelings for Ji-hwan

In My Sweet Mobster's episode 7, Jang Hyeon-u (Kwon Yul) finds it difficult to focus in the prosecutor's office because he keeps wondering about Eun-ha's equation with Ji-hwan. Hyun-woo visits Eun-ha at the hospital, and she doesn't want him to cross paths with Ji-hwan and have another altercation.

Ji-hwan arrives at the hospital with additional supplies for Eun-ha and finds Mi-ho (Moon Ji-in). Ji-hwan plans to leave the items with Mi-ho and return. However, Mi-ho succeeds in convincing him to wait and meet Eun-ha before he leaves. After she returns to her hospital room, she finds Ji-hwan in a deep sleep beside the bed.

Ji-hwan gets up to leave, but she argues that since he was also stuck in the freezer, he should have some rest and an IV drip at the hospital. Later, in My Sweet Mobster's episode 7, Eun-ha becomes curious about Ji-hwa's childhood as he seems to have grown into a person sensitive to loud noise and prefers to be alone.

Ji-hwan then tells Eun-ha that he never had any friends as a kid; however, he became friends with a girl who shared his struggles with loneliness as a kid. But as his family moved to a different place, Ji-hwan lost contact with that girl. After getting an IV drip and staying the night at the hospital, Ji-hwan leaves the next morning before Eun-ha wakes up and accidentally drops his wallet.

Episode 7 of My Sweet Mobster shows Eun-ha showing up at Ji-hwan's company to return his wallet, but the security guard refuses to let her inside. Meanwhile, Hong-ki (Ji-hwan's employee) intervenes immediately and personally escorts Eun-ha to Ji-hwan's office. However, she doesn't get to meet Ji-hwan and leaves his wallet with Dong-hui.

Meanwhile, at the prosecutor's office, Hyeon-u asks Chief Oh how he might locate someone with the name "Hyeon-u"—the same name as his—who was born in 1988. Later, Ji-hwan's roommates and employees, Man-ho, Dong-hui, Hong-ki, and Jae-soo, refuse to attend Eun-ha's tutoring lectures as they become more intrigued by her relationship with Ji-hwan.

My Sweet Mobster episode 7 then shifts by revealing Dong-hui as Hyeon-u's spy, who has infiltrated Ji-hwan's company to get intel on him. Meanwhile, Hyeoun-u (Kwon Yul), the prosecutor, searches for the boy named "Hyeon-u," whom Eun-ha met in her childhood. He discovers documents that show Ji-hwan's original name as Yoon Hyeon-u before it was changed.

The episode then sees Ji-hwan noticing that someone has been digging in his garden with a shovel. He rushes to intervene and finds Eun-ha looking for a time capsule. He learns that every year she comes there to look for a time capsule that she buried when she was a kid.

At the end of episode 7, Eun-ha returns home to find Ji-hwan standing at the back of his garden, holding the time capsule in his hand.
