Nam Joo-hyuk is confirmed to star in a Netflix original horror mystery series East Palace alongside actress Roh Yoon-seo and Cho Seung-woo as the main cast. On December 12, the official social media account of Netflix Korea released behind-the-scenes photos from the cast's first script reading.

East Palace revolves around a royal place overturned by an evil curse. The palace king summons a ghost slayer to investigate the mysterious dark spirit lurking in the palace. Steered by the director of The Devil Judge, Choi Jung-kyu, the series is written by Kwon So-ra and Seo Jae-won who have worked on Bulgasal: Immortal Souls.
Nam Joo-kyu plays a ghost slayer in East Palace while Roh Yoon-seo takes up the role of a ghost whisperer
The main cast of the East Palace comprises Nam Joo-hyuk, Roh Yoon-seo, and Cho Seung-woo. Cho Seung-woo will be playing the character of the Palace's king and Nam Joo-hyuk will adorn the role of ghost slayer. Noh Yoon-seo will be seen as the court lady who has the ability to hear the ghosts.
In East Palace, Nam Joo-hyuk's character is named Goo Chun who is summoned by the King of Joseon to investigate and eliminate the dark mystery clinging to the palace. In the process, the courtesan, Saeng Kang (Noh Yoon-seo), who holds the ability to hear the ghosts partners up with Goo Chun. The King (played by Cho Seung-woo) also has dark secrets hidden which elevates the thrill of the series.
East Palace is a working title that is subject to change. However, K-drama fans of horror-mystery can expect the series in 2025 on Netflix.
