The eighth episode of the ENA network series Namib premiered on January 14, 2025. The show stars Go Hyun-jung and Ryeoun in main roles, alongside a substantial supporting cast.
As stated in the previous episode of Namib, Chris blackmailed Jin-woo into being removed from the broadcast round or else he would reveal his name, which was involved in the accident, and even ruin Su-hyeon's image because her visiting card was discovered at the accident site, which Jin-woo was carrying in his pocket.
In the latest episode of Namib, Jin-woo was eliminated from the Star Rise competition, due to Su-hyeon handing him over to another entertainment agency. But Jin-woo requested the entertainment company and chose Kang Su-hyeon as his manager at the end of this episode.
Namib episode 8: Kang Su-hyeon gave away Jin-woo to TA Entertainment
The eighth episode of Namib began with Kang Su-hyeon holding Jin-woo's hands and rushing towards the broadcast live stage, as Jin-woo was scheduled to perform during the competition's live broadcast phase. Su-hyeon sent Jin-woo to perform, and after a few performances, his turn came, and he took the stage. He first did not sing, leaving the audience and audition team to worry about what had happened to him.
He eventually started singing after recalling Su-hyeon's advice to give it his all and try before giving up. So Jin-woo performed, however, he was eliminated because he sang the wrong song.
After being eliminated, Jun-seok, Su-hyeon, and Jin-woo returned home, where Jin-woo stated that Chris pressured him, causing him to sing the wrong track and be eliminated. He informed them about the accident and the drugs that were in the car. He also made it clear that he was completely unaware of the drugs. Su-hyeon advised him that he should have ignored Chris's threat and carried it and then the conversation ended.
The next day, Su-hyeon communicated with the entertainment company that had previously expressed interest in Jin-woo as an artist. However, after his elimination, the firm decided to reconsider its decision. Meanwhile, Su-hyeon received another offer from TA Entertainment, who were willing to take Jin-woo. Su-hyeon was opposed to selling Jin-woo, but she convinced herself to do it for Jin-woo's future.
Su-hyeon also went back to the broadcast firm to try to resolve the issue. The broadcasting company couldn't help her with Jin-woo's audition, so they proposed a YouTube show to display Jin-woo's daily routine, including school and practice.
Su-hyeon was thrilled with the offer, while Jun-seok was initially hesitant, but eventually consented once Jin-woo expressed similar enthusiasm for the YouTube show.
Meanwhile, the musician from Jang Hyeon-cheol's Pandora Entertainment got intoxicated at the club. When one of his managers brought the artist to Hyeon-cheol's office and informed him that the man accompanying the artist had given him an intoxicated water bottle, Hyeon-cheol was reminded of his sister's story, as she was also given a similar drugged water bottle.
Hyeon-cheol called Chris and urged him to get to the club and see if he was the same man. Chris arrived at the club and noticed the man, but he was unable to approach him due to security.
Chris returned to his club, and Su-hyeon eventually arrived to meet him. She advised Chris to keep his mouth quiet regarding the accident and drugs. Chris looked at her and told her that there were no drugs in the car. Su-hyeon finally calmed once Chris admitted the truth, and she advised Chris to stop doing wrong to Jin-woo.
Su-hyeon returned home and informed Jun-seok of the truth about the vehicle accident. Jun-seok questioned her again whether she was sure about sending Jin-woo to TA Entertainment, but she had already decided. So far, Jin-woo was unaware of the agreement with TA Entertainment.
Following that, Jin-woo filmed the reality show with the broadcasting business. In the meantime, he told Su-hyeon that he would work harder to recoup his losses. He also promised her that he would do whatever Su-hyeon ordered him.
Toward the end of Namib's eighth episode, Jun-seok and Su-hyeon drove Jin-woo to the TA Entertainment office. Kang Su-hyeon finally turned Jin-woo over to the company and transferred her ownership of him to it.
Jin-woo was taken aback by this discovery and requested that the firm allow him to choose his manager. Jin-woo lifted his fingers at Su-hyeon in the final scene of Namib's eighth episode, indicating that she would become his manager.
The next episode of Namib will air on January 20, 2025, via the ENA network. K-drama fans can watch the episodes of Namib on Viki.
