Netflix dating reality show The Boyfriend has entered its week finale and the anticipation is at an all-time high as viewers patiently wait for its release. The dating show follows 9 men, in search of love and looking to build deep connections and friendships, while living together for a month.
The cast members include Dai, Shun, Kazuto, Ikuo, Usak, and Ryota who are from Japan, South Korean designer Taeheon, Alan from Brazil, and Gensei from Taiwan. They spend a summer in a house named Green Room in Chiba Prefecture city Tateyama, Japan.
The Boyfriend is Japan's first BL or same-sex dating series which premiered its first batch of episodes on Tuesday, July 9. The upcoming episodes 9 and 10 are scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, July 30 at 4:00 pm KST (12:30 pm IST) on Netflix.

The Boyfriend Night is a series released on Netflix Japan YouTube channel where some of the panelists on the show welcome new guests every week, where they react to the progression in the dating show. Unreleased footage of the dating show is also shown in this reaction series.
The first volume featured panelists Yoshimi Tokui and Chiaki Horan and the guests Rei Maruyama and Yarlens which was released on Saturday, July 13. For the second volume of The Boyfriend Night, MCs Yoshimi Tokui and MEGUMI were joined by Nobuko “Pattie-chan”, and Shintaro Morimoto of the comedy trio Tontsukatan which released on Saturday, July 20.
The third volume is set to be aired on Saturday, July 27, 2024, featuring Yoshimi Tokui, Thelma Aoyama, Elf Arakawa, Yohei Hayashida, and Takashi Sakai.
According to Oricon News July 24 report, a Japanese media outlet, all 9 cast members including Dai, Shun, Ikuo, Usak, Kazuto, Taeheon, Gensei, Alan, and Ryota will reportedly make an appearance on The Boyfriend Night Vol. 4.
According to the reports, the cast will meet the panel for the first time in volume 4 including MEGUMI, Chiaki Horan, Thelma Aoyama, Durian Lollobrigida, and Yoshimi Tokui. They will reportedly share different anecdotes from the reality dating series on the show.
