On November 5, 2024, BIGBANG members, including G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, made a guest appearance on ZIP Daesung in episode 29. The episode was titled, 'Some things are forever| BIGBANG back after 7 years.' During the clip, the trio opened up about their friendship, where they compared the bond to a three-leaf clover.
As BIGBANG has only three members left, Daesung added that the three-leaf clover meant happiness. In response, G-Dragon stated that they should not lose any more members, mentioning, 'Let's not become any more less than that.' Subsequently, Daesung stated, as translated by X user @jekkibby2:
"2-leaf clover doesn't exist."
BIGBANG's Taeyang changed the atmosphere by referring to two-leaf clover as a sprout
Following BIGBANG's Daesung's stance that two-leaf clover did not exist, Taeyeang eased the emotional moment by adding about a sprout. He mentioned, as translated by KBIZOOM:
"It would be sad to see a two-leaf clover. That would be just a leaf. With two leaves, it's just a sprout."
During the episode, Taeyang and Daesung also spoke about the junior K-pop groups they have been following recently. Daesung stated that he has been keeping an eye on Meovv, BABYMONSTER, and aespa. Meanwhile, Taeyang cited the reasons why he followed SEVENTEEN and mentioned:
"There are so many great performers these days. Multi-talented idols these days. It's hard to choose just one. There are so many handsome and pretty friends. But there's that. They're not rookies anymore, but I think it was when we performed "BANG BANG BANG." They were the only ones, and we were watching the rehearsal to see who were there."
BIGBANG's Taeyang further added that the group didn't get the chance to see SEVENTEEN often since they were overseas much. So, they would watch them from their waiting room. He mentioned that he still remembered what they said while they watched back then.
"Who was it? Debuted on May 26, 2015. I think it was SEVENTEEN's debut stage. We saw their rehearsal, and I said, 'This group will definitely succeed. The energy they showed on stage that's very important. I felt that," Taeyang said.
BIGBANG's Taeyang, Daesung, and G-Dragon also discussed their dating speculations, the creation of the lightstick, and other details.
In recent news, Taeyang released his second extended play, Down to Earth, on April 25, 2023, through the Black Label and Interscope Records. It featured six tracks, including Vibe (featuring BTS' Jimin), Shoong! (featuring Lisa), Seed, Reason, Inspiration (featuring Beenzino), and Nightfall (featuring. Bryan Chase).
G-Dragon released his first new single, Power, on October 31. He also announced that he had signed an exclusive music deal with Empire Distribution. Moreover, the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology has also named G-Dragon as a visiting professor for a year, where he would deliver leadership lectures at educational institutions.
