The 2024 Hanteo Music Awards has unveiled its highly anticipated artists’ line-up, including NCT WISH, RIIZE, Lee Mu-jin, and more. On January 23, the Hanteo Music Awards announced the first line-up of performers through their official social media, creating much excitement among K-pop fans.
As per the official Instagram page of the Hanteo Music Awards, the 32nd edition will witness performances by nine K-pop groups along with three solo artists. SM Entertainment’s youngest boy groups, including NCT’s Japanese unit NCT Wish and the boy group RIIZE will perform at the awards show.
Girls groups like ARTMS, which was formed with some former LOONA members, and the Cube Entertainment girl group LIGHTSUM will also take on the stage.
The solo artists in the first line-up include YENA, a former member of the girl group IZ*ONE, singer-songwriter Lee Mu-jin, and pop singer YOUNGTAK.

Hanteo Music Awards 2024 announces second MC line-up through social media
On January 23, 2025, the Hanteo Music Awards 2024 unveiled the list of first performers at this year's ceremony. Besides the artist line-up, they also unveiled the list of award presenters who have been a part of the industry for over a decade from across the first and second K-pop generations.
Former After School member Kahi, South Korean-American R&B singer Kim Jo-han, and Kara member Nicole, have been confirmed to be presenters.
Meanwhile, Muzie from the K-pop duo UV, popular dancer Park Mi-Kyung, South Korean R&B duo Fly to the Sky's Brian Joo, and first-generation girl Baby V.O.X.’s Lee Hee-jin will also be seen on stage honoring winners with the awards.
Previously, on January 16, (G)I-DLE's vocalist Miyeon and Sweet Home 2 actor Jin-young were the first two MCs announced for this year's ceremony. Musical Theatre actress Jeong Seon-ah, and South Korean singers Hwanhee and Kim Yong-jun were confirmed to be the presenters.
Meanwhile, H.O.T. rapper Jang Woo-hyuk, Brown Eyed Girls’ JeA will also be seen as the MC.

The award show recognizes the highly contributing K-pop groups and artists in a year based on the data collected from the Hanteo charts. The music data chart is known to be the first South Korean chart. Music released between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, is eligible for this year’s award ceremony.
This year's event is said to be organized by a performance production agency known as BEPC Tangent. In October 2024, Hanteo Global CEO Kwak Young-ho shared his thoughts on the upcoming award show.
As per Korea JoongAng Daily, he said:
"I am very pleased to announce the holding of HMA 2024, an awards ceremony that connects the past, present and future of K-pop.”
He further added:
"We anticipate great excitement and interest in HMA 2024, which will be more than just an awards ceremony. It will celebrate both the classic and modern generations of K-pop, bringing fans together in a truly unique festival experience."
Notably, the Hanteo Music Awards will be a two-day ceremony that is scheduled to be held on Saturday, February 15, and Sunday, February 16, 2025. The show will take place at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul, South Korea.
