BTS has been named the most anticipated singer (group) in 2025 by music experts in the South Korean entertainment industry. On January 1, 2025, News1, a South Korean media agency, conducted a survey where 34 music experts from several entertainment agencies, including HYBE, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and more, participated.
According to the report, each music expert voted for one K-pop group and artist whose comeback is the most anticipated in 2025.
The Dynamite singers emerged at the top of the survey list, receiving the majority of five votes. Notably, the group is on a hiatus as some members, including RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, are still fulfilling their military conscription. The boy group's upcoming reunion this year has created a huge buzz among fans following the reports.
As the news of the most anticipated singer of 2025 started circulating online, fans took to X to share their excitement. One fan wrote:

On January 1, 2025, News1 unveiled the survey results of the most anticipated singer/group's list. BTS led the list with five votes, and one of the music experts shared their opinion about the group's comeback and its impact on the share market.
“Two members have been discharged from the military, and five are currently serving in the military, but they will all return next year. They maintained their power despite being in the military this year, and they will remain at the top of K-pop in 2024," the expert said.
They further added:
"Just the news of BTS's return caused HYBE's stock price to soar and the K-pop industry outlook to change because they are a symbolic entity.”
Meanwhile, BIGBANG leader G-Dragon, who made his solo music comeback for the first time in seven years in 2024, received four votes, securing second place on the list. SM Entertainment girl group aespa came in third place with three votes. In 2024, the group dominated several award shows, including TMA, KGMA, MAMA, and the Melon Music Awards, with hit tracks like Supernova and Whiplash.
Rookie groups like RIIZE and MEOVV made it to the list in fourth place with two votes.

Meanwhile, BTS' Jin and J-Hope were discharged from the military in 2024, becoming the first two members to complete their conscription. RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are expected to be discharged this year.
