On Friday, October 4, the veteran K-pop girl group 2NE1 kicked off their Welcome Back Tour, a concert series in celebration of their 15th debut anniversary. The tour is expected to run from October 4, 2024, to February 8, 2025, with several stops across China, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and South Korea.
The members, Bom, CL, Dara, and Minzy, reunited following their departure from YG Entertainment and the group's disbandment in 2019. The opening show was held at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Seoul, South Korea. To celebrate the occasion, several K-pop groups, including Stray Kids, aespa, TWICE, and BOYNEXTDOOR, shared congratulatory messages for 2NE1's anniversary.

2NE1 is a K-pop girl group that debuted in 2009 under YG Entertainment. Shortly after their debut, the group skyrocketed in popularity, becoming one of the most popular artists in K-pop. Some of their famous tracks include I Am The Best, I Love You, Missing You, Fire, and more.
However, the group disbanded in 2016 and eventually left YG Entertainment. This followed member Bom's hiatus in 2015, when she was investigated for her alleged drug use, leading to her temporary absence from the group's activities. Subsequently, the other 2NE1 members also pursued independent ventures.
After their disbandment, the group reunited for the first time to celebrate their fifteenth debut anniversary. The group is expected to roll out a total of 15 shows.
