On May 16, 2NE1’s leader CL took to social media to share reunion pictures of the group members, including Bom, Dara, and Minzy. The YG Entertainment girl group celebrated their 15th debut anniversary on May 6, 2024, and all the members gathered for a commemorative pictorial shoot, posing together.
Generating excitement among fans, each group member shared the photographs on their individual Instagram accounts. Additionally, the leader shared a brief behind-the-scenes clip of the pictorial, showing members hugging each other and preparing for the shoot.
CL shared her thoughts about reuniting with the girl group and working in front of the camera after a long time. She expressed gratitude towards the group's fans and admirers who have enjoyed their music and supported them throughout the years.
She stated,

2NE1 debuted as a four-member group, including CL, Bom, Dara, and Minzy, under YG Entertainment on May 6, 2009, with the digital single Fire. The group rose to fame with subsequent releases such as I Am The Best, COME BACK HOME, and more.
The management agency announced the group's official disbandment through its website on November 25, 2016, following Minzy and Bom's departure from the company.
However, their recent meeting brought excitement among the group members as they celebrated their 15th debut anniversary, sending a wave of happiness among their supporters.
As reported by NME, CL, the leader of the quartet, took to Instagram to express her emotions. She wrote:
"Today on May 17 as we celebrate our 15th birthday, we wanted to thank all of those who have loved, supported, laughed and cried with us all this time, so we’re standing in front of the camera together for the first time in a long while," she wrote in Korean.
She further added:
"2NE1 has always been my house that made me feel the freedom to love, to play, to express, to create, to shine, to mix, to connect and share with people."
2NE1’s performance at the 2022 Coachella
In 2022, CL surprised everyone by inviting her group members for her set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Almost nearly seven years since their last performance, the group reunited on stage during the 88rising Historic Head in the Clouds Forever Set at the music festival.
According to Billboard, this performance went smoothly as CL revealed working closely with the 88rising CEO and founder Sean Miyashiro, who extended his support during the process. CL performed some of her hit tracks, including Spicy and Chuck, before returning to the stage with her fellow members Bom, Dara, and Minzy. The group garnered attention for their iconic style from their I Am the Best era, leaving the audience in awe.
