On October 15, 2023, NewJeans shared their Ditto dance challenge video with BTS' Jungkook, taking the internet by storm with their smooth steps and perfect synchronization. The female band and the male artist donned casual outfits and grooved to the smash hit track of NewJeans.
The Ditto Challenge video left Bunnies and ARMYs wanting more such collaboration in the future where they could see the artists enjoying each other's company. Those unversed, Ditto was released on December 19, 2022, through the subsidiary ADOR and centered around the longing for platonic love.
2) BTS' Jungkook grooved to NewJeans' Hype Boy
On March 3, 2023, BTS' Jungkook took to the South Korean social media platform Weverse, where he grooved to NewJeans' Hype Boy and subsequently joined the popular dance challenge circulating on multiple social media platforms across South Korea at that time.
During the live broadcast, the male artist had a home party with the ARMYs, where he spent approximately two hours with them singing, drinking, and interacting. While he went to get his beer, NewJeans Hype Boy was playing in the background, and the idol subsequently started executing the choreography of the track after taking a beer and a can in each hand.
3) BTS' Jungkook listened to NewJeans' Ditto for 30 times
On November 4, 2023, BTS' Jungkook appeared as a guest on K-Pop On! Spotify, where he commemorated the release of his solo debut album, Golden. During the interview, he selected NewJeans' Ditto and cited it as something special.
He confessed that he listened to the track over 30 times while he was left alone when he went to ski with Kim Taehyung and other close friends. Jungkook described that it was winter, and after enjoying it, he decided to stay overnight and ski again the next day.
