Nele Neuhaus's four crime novels have all been in the Top 50 of the SPIEGEL bestseller list since the start of 2011. The books, especially Snow White Must Die have been on Amazon's best-seller list.
2) Black Out's intriguing plotline
At the heart of the thriller is the character Go Jeong-woo, a former model student who becomes the prime suspect in a brutal murder case. However, there is no dead body, and Jeong-woo has no memory of the night in question.
As he tries to remember if he committed the crime, the drama delves into his quest to recover his lost memories and uncover the truth behind the accusations.
Byun Yo-han, who portrays Go Jeong-woo, pulls viewers into the mystery of whether Jeong-woo is guilty or if someone else is the real culprit. Go Bo-gyeol, who plays Choi Na-gyeom, encourages viewers to engage deeply with the story, suggesting that retracing Jeong-woo’s steps episode by episode will enhance the viewing experience.
The show doesn't just focus on the mystery surrounding the murder case; it also explores the intricate relationships between the characters involved. Jeong-woo finds himself surrounded by people with different motives—some who believe in his innocence, others who fear or despise him. This web of suspicion and trust adds a layer of psychological tension to the drama, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.
Go Joon, who plays detective Noh Sang-cheol, hinted at the psychological battles that will unfold as the truth is slowly revealed. He described the drama as a well-crafted piece that will keep audiences guessing until the very end, urging them to tune in and watch the mystery unravel.
The show is set to premiere on August 16, 2024, at 9:50 pm.
