SEVENTEEN confirmed Jeonghan’s enlistment in the second half of 2024, raising speculation among fans regarding the reunion of all thirteen members. On August 12, PLEDIS Entertainment issued an official statement regarding Jeonghan and Jun's activities in the second half of this year.

While the group previously confirmed the SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR in the US, Japan, and South Korea, Jeonghan and Jun will not be able to attend the concerts. According to the statement, Jeonghan plans on getting enlisted in the military to fulfill his national duties, meanwhile, Jun will be pursuing acting and completing his activities in China.

Carats (SEVENTEEN’s fandom) predicted that since many members are eligible to serve in the South Korean military, it will speculatively take 6 years for all of them to complete their military service. Fans speculate that they will get to witness an OT13 reunion in 2030. However, the reunion timeline has not been confirmed by PLEDIS Entertainment.

"6 years till ot13 is crazy"- a fan said
“i have to live and take care of myself until 2030, i have to make sure im there when seventeen becomes complete again, i need to be there, i need to see them again, i need to have money and the resources, i need to be the best version of myself the next time i see ot13”- a fan added

Netizens got emotional as the speculations regarding the reunion went viral on social media.

“wow the statement “i regret stanning them so late.” hits different now.. and the fact that we may only see ot13 in 2030 based on assumptions by carats makes me so sad…”- a fan stated
“I think i'll never be ready for an enlistment notice like ever. i really can't wrap my head around the fact that by the time we will permanently get ot13 back is probably past 2030 or later (might have done the math wrong).”- a user wrote
“I’m very excited for juns acting career i think it’s going to be very big for him and I’m excited to see what’s to come but guys I don’t think we’re gonna see ot13 svt again until like 2030”- a fan said

Netizens expressed their wish to see the military enlistment of SEVENTEEN members to speed up.

“I only get to send jeonghan this year, but in 2025? The other 8 better be going in at one time. I want back to back enlistment notices in one week. Get this s*it over with!! Yall talmbout some no OT13 til 2030…AHT AHT!”- a user commented
“Idk how but I hope they speed up the process so it doesn’t take until 2030 to get ot13, id much rather more enlist at once, even if at one point it’s only the 4 members who won’t be enlisting, than it taking literally 6 years to ever see our 13 together again.”- a fan commented
“It’s possible we get OT13 earlier than 2030 if some members decide to enlist earlier too, which does mean fewer members per comeback if that happens. While I wish for the enlistment era to be shorter, I also do understand if some members want to prolong their activities.”- another fan added

PLEDIS Ent releases statement regarding SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan and Jun's upcoming activities in 2024

The 95-liner member of SEVENTEEN, Jeonghan, will not be able to participate in the World Tour, which is scheduled to commence in October 2024. However, according to PLEDIS Entertainment's statement, he will participate in other activities.

The agency stated,

“JEONGHAN will still be able to meet with CARATs through the previously announced fan signing event and Lollapalooza Berlin. Further details regarding JEONGHAN’s military service will be provided later in a separate notice.”

Regarding the Chinese member, Jun will be following his acting career in China, and this was confirmed after a deep discussion with all the other members of the K-pop boy group.

He won't be participating in the World Tour concerts, Lollapalooza Berlin, and music show performances for the October comeback. The agency stated,

“JUN will not be able to participate in Lollapalooza Berlin, music show performances for the 12th mini album, and the SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR.”

However, both K-pop idols have filmed pre-recorded content, which is scheduled to be released later. According to the statement, they will do their best to participate in other engaging activities with their fellow members and Carats.
