Subsequently, 2024 witnessed debuts by multiple K-pop groups who released their music, albums, singles, and projects to cement their status as upcoming stars in the ever-growing industry. 1) ILLIT
The South Korean girl band ILLIT, formed by Belift Lab, debuted on March 25, 2024, featuring five members—Minju, Moka, Yunah, Iroha, and Wonhee. The group was formed by Belift Lab through the 2023 survival competition show R U Next? and debuted with their extended play (EP) Super Real Me.
In recent news, the five-member group has released music videos for their tracks Lucky Girl Syndrome and Magnetic on the "Hybe Labels" YouTube channel.
2) TWS
The six-member band TWS (pronounced as "two us") debuted on January 22, 2024, under Pledis Entertainment. Their name stands for "twenty-four seven with us," and the group features Shinyu, Kyungmin, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, and Jihoon. They were first introduced in the K-pop industry by SEVENTEEN's Hoshi at the SVT Caratland event in 2023.
In recent news, the six-member K-pop group TWS released their second mini album Summer Beat! on June 24, 2024.
3) BABYMONSTER
BABYMONSTER, also known as BAEMON, a K-pop group under YG Entertainment, debuted in April 2024 with their extended play BabyMons7er. The group comprises seven members—Ruka, Rora, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, and Chiquita. The group was formed by an extensive selection process showcased in the reality show Last Evaluation, which premiered in 2023.
In recent news, the seven-member band dropped their pre-release digital single titled Forever on July 1, 2024.
4) Big Ocean
The first deaf K-pop band, Big Ocean, debuted on April 20, 2024, through Parastar Entertainment. They released their digital single Glow, featuring three members—Chanyeon, Hyunjin, and Jiseok.
They intend to break the preconceived notions related to misunderstandings, discrimination, and prejudices against disabled people, and use Korean Sign Language (KSL), American Sign Language (ASL), and International Sign Language (ISL).

5) Candy Shop
The South Korean group Candy Shop, formed by Brave Entertainment, debuted on March 27, 2024, with their extended play Hashtag#. The group features Soram, Sarang, Yuina, Sui, and Julia. However, Yuina has temporarily halted her activities due to health-related issues.
In recent news, the five-member K-pop band released their second extended play, Girls Don't Cry, on June 12, 2024. It featured four tracks, including Don't Cry, Tumbler (Hot & Cold), Welcome To My World, and Good Girl (Remix).
6) Katseye
The girl group Katseye debuted on June 28, 2024, with their extended play SIS (Soft is Strong) formed by HYBE UMG and Geffen Records. It consists of six members, including Manon, Sophia, Lara, Daniela, Megan, and Yoonchae. The band was formed through the reality program Dream Academy.
In recent news, a documentary on the six member group's debut preparation titled Pop Star Academy: Katseye was released through the streaming platform Netflix.
7) BEWAVE
BEWAVE debuted on April 17, 2024, under GOLDDUST Entertainment, releasing their mini album Be; Wave. The group features six members—Jiun, Yunseul, Lena, Zena, Ain, and Gowoon. The name BEWAVE stands for 'Blue Wave.'
In recent news, they released their debut mini-album Be; Wave on April 17, 2024, with Sing! serving as the title track of the record. It featured three other tracks namely Shine, Blue Wave, and Sing! (Instrumental).
8) DXMON
The six-member boy band DXMON debuted on January 17, 2024, and was formed by SSQ Entertainment. The group comprises Seita, Minjae, Hee, TK, Rex, and Jo. They released their pre-debut digital single Burn Up on January 1, 2024, followed by their debut mini album Hyperspace on January 17, 2024. The record featured the tracks N.W.B, Spark, Burn Up, Very, Burn (Inst.), and Spark (Inst.).
In recent news, DXMON has participated in concerts, including the XD World Music Festival and KCON LA 2024.
