"97-liner besties together"- Fans speculate about SVT's Mingyu and ASTRO's Cha Eun-woo cycling together following their Instagram update

Recently, fans of SEVENTEEN's Mingyu and ASTRO's Cha Eun-woo began speculating that the two K-pop stars might have gone cycling together. This guess emerged after both idols shared photos from their cycling outings on Instagram within a few days of each other.

On August 25, Mingyu initially posted a series of images on his Instagram account, @min9yu_k, showcasing his cycling adventure in a pink hoodie, black biker shorts, and a coordinating safety helmet.

A couple of days later on August 27, Cha Eun-woo shared similar photos on his Instagram, @eunwo.o_c, featuring him in a black cycling outfit and a white helmet with his bicycle.

Fans, noting the close friendship between the two stars due to their shared birth year, quickly speculated about a possible biking date. The duo, along with other idols born in 1997, including BTS’ Jungkook, GOT7’s Yugyeom, SEVENTEEN's DK, The8, Bambam, and others are frequently seen together and are known as the "97-liners" in the K-pop industry.

However, it hasn't been confirmed by either artist, if they went cycling with each other. Meanwhile, fans took to social media to express their desire to see the idols together. A user on X (formerly Twitter), @weare_bts7 wrote:

"97-liner besties together!!! Wish Jungkook was here too."

"They're besties for life," one fan wrote.

"Not the Kings of visuals being besties and sexiest as well," another fan commented.

"Finally astro x seventeen crumbs," one X user said.

Certain fans of the 97-liners expressed their desire to see more of the group members spending time together. They noted that Jungkook, currently serving in the military, would have certainly joined the outing if he was available.

The 97-liners, a celebrated group of K-pop stars born in 1997, are well-known for their close friendship and frequent social outings. This group also comprises Stray Kids' Bang Chan, GOT7's Yugyeom and Bambam, and NCT's Jaehyun.

Mingyu, Jungkook, and Eunwoo were also seen dining together at a restaurant last year before the BTS member enlisted in the military.

Their friendship is often visible through their shared activities and online interactions. In February 2024, some members of the '97-line' were spotted at a listening event for GOT7’s Yugyeom’s new album.

Attendees included SEVENTEEN's Mingyu, Dokyeom, THE8, NCT's Jaehyun, Woozi, Vernon, and even ATEEZ's Mingi among others. Jungkook and Eunwoo were absent due to Jungkook’s military service and Eunwoo’s other obligations.
