The seventh and eighth episodes of the ongoing drama, A Virtuous Business, were released on November 2 and November 3, respectively, on the JBTC network and Netflix. The show stars Kim So-yeon, Kim Sun-young, Kim Sung-ryung, Lee Se-hee, and Yeon Woo-jin in leading roles, alongside a huge supporting cast. A Virtuous Business has a total of 12 episodes in the first season.
In the previous episode of A Virtuous Business, Kim Do-hyeon looked after Jeong-suk’s son, Min-ho, as a babysitter when she left for her sales job. The story of Kim Do-hyeon also unfolded as he looked into an old arson case. Cut to the latest, Do-hyeon rescued Jeong-suk from Gyeong-sik. Gradually, Do-hyeon developed feelings for Jeong-suk while she helped him find his mother.

The seventh episode of A Virtuous Business started with Jeong-suk, who was hiding from Gyeong-sik. She went to Gyeong-sik’s house to sell her products to his wife. But it turned out that Gyeong-sik had lied to her, as his wife wasn’t living with him. He wanted to take advantage of Jeong-suk.
Kim Do-hyeon, who overheard Young-bok’s conversation in the previous episode of A Virtuous Business, soon entered the scene and saved Jeong-suk from Gyeong-sik. He arrested him and dropped her home.
The subsequent day, he called Jeong-suk for her statement against Gyeong-sik. Jeong-suk requested that he keep this matter a secret as the people of Geumje won’t support her and instead blame her job for what happened to her. Jeong-suk even kept it a secret from her friends. Do-hyeon was concerned for Jeong-suk and advised her to take a short break from her job.
The matter soon became public, and everyone in Guemje knew that Gyeong-sik tried to do something wrong to Jeong-suk. Following this, Jeong-suk’s colleagues also came to know about the incident.
The next day, Jeong-suk, Ju-ri, Guem-hui, and Young-bok went to the police station to give their statements. Adding to her surprise, the women of Geumje, who Jeong-suk thought would be against her work, stood in her support. They gave their statements against Gyeong-sik for all his prior wrongdoings.
While this was going on, a new character entered the story. Du-seok, who seemed to have a criminal past, came back to Guemje. He called Young-bok’s husband, Jong-sun, and offered him a chance to do a job with him to make money. Jong-sun refused, as he was planning to rob someone. Jong-sun refused to be part of his plan. It was hinted that these two were involved in the past.
Ju-ri, on the other hand, seemed to enter into a romantic relationship with the chairman’s son, Eom Dae-geun.
Towards the end of the seventh episode of A Virtuous Business, Jeong-suk met Kim Do-hyeon and told him that she would help him find his mother. After this, Do-hyeon took her to his place and showed his complete research on Geumje and the arson case. Do-hyeon told her that thirty years ago many children were kidnapped in Guemje. He even showed his scar to Jeong-suk.
Jeong-suk took extensive notes but she left her notepad at Do-hyeon’s place when she went home.
In the last scene of this episode, Jeong-suk came back to take her notepad and she noticed Do-hyeon sleeping on his sofa. Do-hyeon was sweating in his sleep due to a nightmare of his childhood fire. As Jeong-suk went close to him, Do-hyeon suddenly opened his eyes and hugged her. Episode seven of A Virtuous Business ended here.
A Virtuous Business episode 8: Jeong-suk helps Do-hyeon find his mother
The eighth episode of A Virtuous Business started with Do-hyeon hugging Jeong-suk. This turned out to be Do-hyeon’s dream, as he woke up and found Jeong-suk standing at his gate. He handed over her notepad, and she left.
While heading home, she discovered a movie theatre screening an explicit film. She devised a plan to learn more about the women who were interested in purchasing her products. She brought these women to view the film and observed their expressions throughout. Later, she gave them a form to fill out with their information.
She noted that one of the women had previously been Catholic. She reached out to her and asked if she had a wooden ring. The woman admitted to having one and Jeong-suk immediately rushed to Do-hyeon to alert him about the lady. Do-hyeon stated that she was not the one, as he had already questioned her.
Young-bok, on the other hand, went for her checkup as she was sick. She found that she was pregnant. Young-bok went home and told Jong-sun about her pregnancy. She revealed that she didn’t wish to have another child, as they were already raising four children without a proper income. Listening to this, Jong-sun got upset, as he was seeking a job for a long time but didn’t get any due to his criminal record.
Meanwhile, Jeong-suk and Do-hyeon went to a shop to inquire about the missing child. Do-hyeon discovered that the owner of the hanbok store was still looking for her kid. This gave a sense of relief to Do-hyeon, as he felt that his parents might also be looking for him.
While they were at the hanbok store, Jeong-suk tried a traditional wedding dress as the two were pretending to be a couple. When Do-hyeon saw Jeong-suk in hanbok, he couldn’t take his eyes off her. It seemed like he was falling for her. After their investigation, Do-hyeon dropped her and went home.
The next day, when Jeong-suk asked Do-hyeon to meet her, he refused. Do-hyeon tried to avoid Jeong-suk as he began to develop feelings for her. Later, Jeong-suk confronted him to ask what she did wrong. Do-hyeon hugged Jeong-suk to confirm his feelings.
At the end of this episode of A Virtuous Business, Jong-sun rushed to the phone booth; he called the police and informed them about a dead body. The eighth episode of A Virtuous Business ended here.
