On Friday, November 8, the five-piece K-pop group TXT appeared on the South Korean talk show The Seasons, hosted by Lee Youngji. Their appearance was to promote their recent comeback with the mini album The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY, which dropped on November 4.

During the talk show, the members talked about various topics, including their comeback and recent activities. Additionally, they performed a special cover of Taylor Swift's Love Story, which impressed many netizens. While fans were already in awe of the members' vocals for the cover, they were even delighted to see that the members hadn't changed the song's lyrics.

Usually, when K-pop artists cover songs, they change the pronouns in the lyrics to match the artists' gender. If a male artist covers a song sung by a female artist about a male love interest, the male artist usually changes the pronouns from male to female, and vice versa.

However, TXT retained the pronouns in Love Story. Therefore, fans were happy to see the members do justice to the original song and praised them for it. From fans to netizens, many expressed their love, support, and appreciation for the cover. One fan on X wrote:

"you can always trust txt to do covers, this is absolutely beautiful"

Many fans expressed similar sentiments and praised the group's performance.

"Not a moa. and I'm not the one who listens covers except BTS .But this one is perfect boys sang really well," said a fan on X.
"I love how they never change the female lyrics and sing it the exact way. Not to mention they always slay when it comes to vocals," added another fan.
"you know what they’re real for not flipping the pronouns because god knows there are some bgs that would’ve done that," commented a netizen.

Additionally, fans and netizens continued to talk about the members' voices and their performance of Love Story.

"their talent for reinterpretation really deserves lots of praise bc they manage to stay true to the original while adding their unique twist, which makes each song feel refreshing," said an X user.
"the best boy vocal group exactly and notice how they didn't change the lyrics," commented another user.
""romeo save me" and "you'll be the prince and i'll be your princess" OH TXT I KNEW WE COULD TRUST YOU," stated a fan.
"knew I could trust the kings of never changing pronouns/ lyrics and keeping the original," added another fan.
