This latest achievement is earned nearly a decade after its initial release. Fans worldwide celebrated this achievement, attributing the resurgence in popularity to the individual activities of the group’s members, particularly T.O.P’s role as Thanos in Netflix’s Squid Game 2.

Originally released on June 1, 2015, as part of a single album by YG Entertainment, BANG BANG BANG later became one of the leading tracks in BIGBANG's third studio album, MADE, which dropped in December 2016.

The recent spike in streams comes as fans connect it to T.O.P’s portrayal of the character Thanos in Squid Game 2. The role marked T.O.P’s return to the limelight after years of absence following his 2017 marijuana scandal.
