Following the exposé of the Chinese actress Zhao Lusi's alleged workplace abuse on December 31, several people from the Chinese entertainment industry have spoken in support of the actress. The exposé which was released on an online forum by her friend and former actress, Song Nanxi, alleged that Zhao Lusi was abused, both physically and emotionally, at her agency since 2019.
The exposé also alleged that the abuser was her former manager, who is speculated to be Xu Yiruo, one of the most well-known celebrity managers in China.
In response to the abuse allegations and Zhao Lusi's health crisis, people expressed their support for the actress. One of the celebrities who expressed support for Zhao Lusi is The Last Immortal actress, Xue Jianing. She posted the following comment on Weibo:
"You are the best sister in my heart... Strong... Brave... Responsible. Take care of other people’s feelings. ⋯ Help every friend around you. ⋯ Those who love you will always have your back."
Additionally, the famous Chinese singer G.E.M also posted on Weibo wishing Zhao Lusi a speedy recovery.

The director of the Mars Intelligence Agency, a variety show that Zhao Lusi co-hosted, wrote a long message about the actress and her current situation. She talked about how enthusiastic and hardworking the actress was throughout her debut days. She wrote:
"No one wants to expose their scars to be trampled on. She has suffered betrayal from people she once trusted most, endured unfair treatment, doubt, and even sustained malicious slander aimed at destroying her. Over the years, she has faced it all bravely on her own. But no matter how strong someone is, everyone has their breaking point."
Another actress who released a statement in support of The Last Immortal star is Wang Yajia, the lead of Love Like The Galaxy. In her statement, she talked about how kind, optimistic, and joyful Zhao Lusi is. She also recalled how they became friends and shared a few anecdotes about the two's many interactions.
On the other hand, Zhao Lusi's teacher, Guzheng also wrote a statement in support of her. In the statement, she called out netizens for criticizing or talking ill about the actress amidst her workplace abuse exposé.
Therefore, she defended the 26-year-old and called out the unhealthy standards and expectations for women, especially in the entertainment industry. Here's what she stated:
"When will the world's aesthetic of women no longer be white, thin, young, naive, or cuddly, and just accept her healthy, original, rich, and lovely appearance? This is not even a problem for her company, but a problem for the entire system. She's just a poor little who was slapped. How many actresses are there like her? How big is this group? She's only in her 20s."
