On Wednesday, October 16, in light of BTS' j-hope's upcoming military discharge, his fellow members, Jungkook, Jimin, and Jin took to Weverse. Previously, Jin released a post on Weverse talking about j-hope's military discharge. This message was posted shortly after BIGHIT MUSIC's official announcement regarding the discharge and the rules needed to be followed by netizens.

The post, made on October 14, was replied to by j-hope. The idol simply left a comment of him laughing, under the post. This banter was soon added to by the other BTS members. Jungkook left a heartwarming message for his fellow member who'll soon be discharged and resume his activities as a K-pop idol. Here's what he said:

"JOHNNY... j-hope... As much as you went first, I hope you'll be happy with what you couldn't do... Good Job."

However, the comments under Jin's post continued to grow more chaotic. While Jimin commented encouraging himself and the other BTS members who are currently serving their mandatory military service, Jungkook replied to Jimin by stating that the two K-pop idols have 238 days left of their service.

Many fans talked about how the BTS members were eagerly looking forward to their discharge and joked about the same. Here are a few fan reactions:

"All of them counting days..oh SK when I catch you SK"

"my babies counting days.....free them now I'm crying," added another netizen.

All you need to know about BTS j-hope's military enlistment and discharge

BTS' j-hope enlisted in the military in April 2023. He served as an active-duty soldier and an assistant training instructor in the 36th Infantry Division in Wonju. Additionally, he also received a promotion in May 2024 where his position was elevated to that of a Seargent.

While his promotion was scheduled to take place in July, he received an early promotion due to his outstanding performance and excellence. After the successful military enlistment, the K-pop idol was discharged on October 17, 2024. The idol was welcomed by his fellow BTS member, Jin, at the entrance of the military base during his discharge ceremony.

Jin brought him two huge bouquets to celebrate his return to the industry. Given that two BTS members have now completed their military enlistment and have resumed their K-pop idol activities, fans are excited to see what's in store for them.

They've also been cheering and celebrating j-hope's discharge across several social media platforms.

On the other hand, five of the BTS members, SUGA, RM, V, Jungkook, and Jimin, are currently serving their mandatory enlistment. While SUGA enlisted in September 2023, the other four members enlisted in December 2023. All the members are expected to be discharged in June 2025.

SUGA's tenure is longer than the ideal military service period due to his position as a social service worker rather than an active soldier. Regardless, fans have been counting down the days until all the members return to their K-pop idol activities.
